    No it would not!

Would Mayweather still be out weighed by 2.5 - 3 stones..? No.

When talking Floyd vs Roy people tend to forget(intentionally or not) Roy winning HW title and that its great achievement, to many clueless fans of boxing!

If Mayweather beats Ward by UD, greatest victory in the sport.
    Top 10 ATG spot solid.

If he does it by way of KO, easily the greatest victory ever.
Can become top 5 ATG then

Floyd Mayweather has never been undisputed at any weight, and also Roy Jones has better pound for pound better fighters.

    Hopkins, Toney.

Floyd Mayweather's best win is Oscar De La hoya in a fight..? which could of went ether way.

Roy Jones totally and utterly separated himself from the pack.

When Floyd Mayweather faced Oscar De La Hoya, he was not clearly the better fighter he did not separate himself from the pack like Roy Jones Junior did..? when he faced his other all-time greats.

The smaller the fighter the more a single pound is to them.. You have to go by percentages.

People just aren't understanding what I'm saying.

Andre Ward is a bad example because Ward is one of the best fighters in the world spanning all divisions and the top in his division.

My sole point is that Ruiz was a fringe top 5 HW, far from a defining fighter from his division generation.

Rather than Mayweather moving up to beat Ward at 168, the accurate comparison would be if Mayweather moved up and beat Stieglitz or Oosthuizen up at 168.

Seriously guys, how could you not understand that? Or disagree with that?

People forget also that Roy dropped down and beat Tarver in his very next fight.. A great achievement almost as rare as going up to HW in the first place.. Gets overlooked because it was the first time Roy looked human, and we expected him to walk through Tarver.

I understand somewhat now, but i would more say like not Steglitsz or Oshuizen but someone better ,but if you go by 4th, 5th or that range fighter in the 168 division, than its Bute:hey because Ward Kessler and Froch are clearly ahead of Bute.;)

Also it's not about that Roy beat Ruiz, it's that he toyed with Ruiz.

Besides Tua, who had an easier time with Ruiz until a prime Haye came along to fight the worst version of Ruiz ever?

Ruiz wasn't a great fighter but he always came to do his best and an extreme spoiler/negative fighter.

Roy beat him in such a way that you could say, Ruiz got dominated.
That's only happened 2/3 times in his whole career.

Once Tua, third time as a shot fighter against Haye.

Sorry if my sentences seem a bit chaotic at times.

If Floyd were to beat Froch at 168 is the best I got. Ruiz was not the best HW in the world at the time.

No one was suggesting that he was, but just imagine Floyd winning against Froch, Roy win over Ruiz is huge accomplishment!
I actually like that you picked Froch for me he is very very good fighter but clearly limited(overachiever) just like Ruiz always was.
