Great Question: If you were a champion how do you fight your fading and shot idol?

I'd probably try to turn the lights out as quick as I can and get him out of there. The longer an older fighter sticks around taking punches the worse it is for him. If possible, maybe I'd flurry with light punches and try to get a cheap ref stoppage.

 

Marquez? I'd batter him. He deserves to be given my best and go out on his shield if it comes to that.

 

i dont think i could fight barrera to be honest... i wouldn't take the fight.. and if i did i would concede in the post fight interview that a prime version would kick my ass

 

I would give it my all and try to get an early stoppage, if I can't then I'll just fight and try to win. Beating up great old shot fighters are great ways to get more famous and get bigger pay days since you are building yourself off of the fame of the other person.

Always try to win taking as least punishment as possible, no matter what. After the fight you can be friends, feel sorry etc.

 

Also I don't value an old shot famous boxer better than an old shot fighter who was never famous. Both have the same worth as human beings an yu have to treat them the same.

I think it's bull**** when people feel sorry for Ali or Louis getting beat up when they're old but no one gives a **** when that shot old boxer with a 34-23 record is getting beaten up. Being famous doesn't increase your worth as a human being.

I see them all the same, even if I idolize one and not the other.

 

People say they would ease up and still beat the person. Wouldn't it be sad and embarrassing that you lost a close split decision or you got robbed (de la Hoya-Trinidad) because you eased up? That would be way worse than just beating them up brutally.

 

Even a shot Marquez would probably give current me a good fight. Still, i would not take the fight. Uh uh
