Im hoping there are some people in here who practice BJJ and can provide some answers regarding BJJ being used for a female as a means of practical self defense in the event she gets taken to the ground by a stronger male attacker. The transition from using a Martial Art in sport to real life isn't always applicable and im hoping you can provide techniques that could be used in this likely scenario. How would a female who has an attacker in her guard counter the attacker if they simply tried apply a single or two handed '**** choke" attempting to choke her unconscience? If they have both hands around her neck can she still apply a armbar or triangle choke? Doesn't seem possible unless she breaks their grip. Aside from a throat strike or eye gouging are there any actual BJJ techniques that could be used to counter this situation? Only thing i can think of is trying to get their feet on both hips and pushing off with their legs to push their attacker away from them, if successful it would extend their arms and make the grip easier to break and while potentially bringing their face closer for eye gouging.
Thanks man its the sort of thing i was looking for but it doesn't seem all that great. They talked about birds too much and instead of trying to shrimp out in that position why the hell wouldn't you just put your hands on either side of their head and start gouging their eyes with both thumbs. You would have total control of their head, total compliance and could easily push them off you to get back on your feet while eliminating their eye sight. I'll find the rest and check them out for anything useful though thanks.
Both hands around neck are perfect for double or single armbar from guard. Also the ****** puts himself into guard with extremly bad posture as soon as he begins to **** her.
I know a fair bit about this from a different perspective - years ago I worked as one of the "attackers" wearing the full padded kit for a company run by ex SAS and police special ops guys teaching anti **** seminars. Repeated biting, butting and fish hooking anything with cartilage or tendon is your girls only chance in this scenario. Got to keep the back of her head from being smashed into the ground. Lots of MA's talk all technique this, technique that for female versus male in this position. Nonsense - the girl realistically has little chance against any competent attacker in this scenario. I wore that protective suit dozens of times, it blocked a lot of blows but a lot came in. If I got firmly into the position you describe you did not get out. Theoretically the participants defended themselves against **** but would have incurred a lot of physical damage in the process. That's a choice the woman has to make and you can't teach.
you should tell that bull**** to rhonda rhousey. Any women who has a purple belt plus in jiu jitsu is not going to get held in the position described. I have rolled with a few blue belt women who would not get held in this position by men unless they were extremly strong or actually trained. The purple belts I have rolled with would only be held by trained men. I am 190 lb purple belt myself and it wasn't a walk in the park.
rubbish. id pay good money to see someone try and **** Emily kwok or Leticia riebero.. that **** would be hilarious
