If Tyson, ODLH, JCC and SRL had 24/7 type shows + Internet

Well, boxing was at least still a popular sport in the U.S when those fighters were around, so internet wasn't needed.

This, you do not need to have the internet when all other forms of media where covering your fights. It may have actually hurt their popularity due to over exposure and scandals

 

god. a prime tyson vs prime holyfield/bowe/lewis with internet, 24/7 and overall todays media would have been 3-5 million ppv. de la hoya vs mayweather would have been doubled.

 

Imagine the tv ratings 24/7 would've got with Tyson. As huge as Tyson was back then, he would've been bigger in today's era.

 

no. back than tyson had other big names to go with his big name, that hyped boxing. bowe, holmes, old foreman, holyfield, moorer and lewis.

in todays era he only would have had the most boring boxers ever klitschko.

Depends on which Tyson. If it was during the time Cus was still alive, the 24/7 would be boring as hell because he was eating, breathing and living boxing. If it was for the Douglas fight, I'm not sure even HBO would be comfortable with filming Mike banging Japanese chicks two at a time.

we didn't miss much.. I remember that we saw a lot of them, just not as much their personalities and all that. But Ray and Hearns and Duran and Hagler did have many programs similar to 24/7 and they are on youtube.

They needed the personality and controversy, as well as the mouth. Out of those 4, only Tyson would have made entertaining 24/7's. Nobody cares about nice respectful family men when it comes to promoting fights.
