I agree it was a mental quit more than anything from Gonzalez but it wasn't really forced by Ricky he wasn't banging him for 6 rounds to make him quit he took heavy shots in the 7th fired back some of his own and Gonzalez wasn't used to it he's used to guys crumbling to those shots and he decided he didn't want it i'm not buying the injury thing he was throwing with both hands in the 8th and 9th and he could have switched to southpaw for 3 rounds i think he just gassed and was shocked at someone standing up to him

 

Think Broph just edged it after a slow start

Think Simpson lost quite clearly, I didn't see him land much at all

Thought Simbo was impressive but disappointed in the Irish lad quitting so easy after all his bluff and bluster during the ring walk and before the fight.

 

I had Brophy winning, landed the better shots but not as many point scoring shots so really could have gone either way. Still for damage done I had Brophy.

Simmons looked decent for a guy with a limited amount of fights, look forward to seeing more of him.

Roberts fight was so dull I didn't fully pay attention so would be lying if I said I scored each round

I actually had Choi winning and couldn't believe Simpson got the win but as a Scot I'm glad he did. The booing wasn;t for the decision, Choi stormed off and was stomping up the aisle, people were booing him for that. Can't blame the lad for being angry. A lot of close rounds though but I had Choi

Burns fight was interesting, wasn't his best performance by a long shot but the first few round he was blocking most of Gonzales' shots and I didn't see the @clinic@ a lot saw on here but yea an uncomfortable night., As I said in another thread the wrist may have been injured but it was the gassing in the 7th and the body shots in the 8th and 9th that did it in my opinion
