    Cotto hammers him.

Mayorga got famous for somehow having Forrests number and getting beaten by every other good fighter he ever fought.

Cotto at 147 was legitimately elite.

Cotto batters Mayorga, Mayo is easily the most overhyped fighter in decades.

I think Mayorga prime would beat Cotto, or have a damn good chance. I don't think Cotto could hurt him. Hell, Mayorga was giving Tito fits for much of their fight, even giving Tito 2 chances to tee of on him with his left hook. Which I honestly think the 2nd one hurt him, which took complete balls of steel to do, but was pretty dumb all things considered. That wasn't even prime Mayorga either. I think he fuks Cotto up.

I like Cotto, but he could be hurt, while at WW. Before the Tito fight, No one hurt him. Forrest is a better puncher than Cotto.

Yes, Cotto beat him a few years ago, But but by then he took more beatings than a heavybag.

And it STILL took Cotto 12 rounds. and it was stop because of his hand. If he's hungry Mayorga ko's him

Mayorga has two good wins, maybe forrest fought the wrong way, or Mayorga had his number. Cotto would have beaten him, not sure if he would have stopped him though, Mayorga had enough power to deter cotto, could see both fighters getting hurt, but Cotto would turn it into a boxing match, only one winner in a boxing match.

Cotto UD - 116-112, with Miguel taking couple of rounds off, on his bike.

People keep bringing up there fight and saying mayorga was passed it, lets not forget Cotto was the smaller fighter, he was the one who was more uncomfortable at 154, Mayorga was better suited to that weight, also Cotto was no spring chicken either, he took punishment from Margarito, Clottey and Pacquiao by that stage, also had some what tough fights against guys like Torres

    Not true.

Vernon Forrest was better than Miguel Cotto in just about every department.

    Dangerous fight for Cotto, this.

The worst version of Cotto at 147 beats the best version of Mayorga at 147. Mayorga just wouldn't be able to hit him cleanly and hurt him too badly. People underrate Cotto's defense. He gets hit, but he almost never gets hit by big shots. Pacquiao did it, but Mayorga's not a southpaw and not nearly as accurate as Pac. Even Mayweather, Trout and Mosley missed whenever they loaded their shots.

Also, Mayorga didn't have a motor like Margarito. Margo got to him with relentlessness, and even at his best Mayorga took rounds off.
