Duran and Leonard made ridiculous comments. Like the fab 4 again is untouchable.

no it was not bad, but I think the fact they moved up and won titles at higher classes and in some cases way up in weight classes, that proves they might have been a little greater than Hagler, whom I hold in high regard. Moving up means a lot, especially when you beat good champions.

Now I know you never watched these guys and the 80's Era with these comments.

    Hearns fight 147 Prime
    Duran fight 147 Prime
    Benitez fight 147 Prime
and the Hagler fight he had 3 year layoff from the sport and fought a Champion in Hagler at 160 for his first Middleweight bout. No Tune Up fight Marvin Hagler 3 year layoff.

You are sounding like a Amateur at best Boxing Fan.

    I've watched a lot of Benitez/Hearns/Duran/Hagler/Ray fights.

Not all of them, but the biggest ones and most of the good wins yes.

I doubt you watched all of them either. Don't lie.

It was 5 years before hand, you're ignorant if you think Marvin was in his prime.

As someone who was actually watching boxing back then, yes. Got any more obscure moronic posts to make that you think make you sound wise?

I didnt say he was BUT what did I post that after Leonard had eye surgery he spent 3 Years out of Boxing and had never and I mean never fought at 160.
Then he takes the Hagler fight who Hagler had just beat John Mugabi and before that Tommie Hearns.

And oh by the way I have all 4 fighters fights on Tape against all.

With Marvin Hagler and Tommie Hearns Discographies.

As did I. You want a ****ing medal for watching boxing, little man? No one who claims to love the sport or simply follow it would say Duran's resume lives or dies with that win. If so, they're either simply lying or just plain ignorant.

Indeed, it's clearly the case when someone has the nerve to say Duran's resume is nothing without his win over SRL. Is it an ATG win? Hell yeah. But we're talking about a man who dominated for a decade and then overachieved outside of that for another decade. A man who, in the 15th professional year of his career, fought an ATG Hagler(in his prime) and almost won. And this doesn't even scratch the surface. "Casual fans" is a massive understatement.

Little man? Did you just try to insult me by saying 'little man'? Are you ******ed?

MVC, Hagler was on a slight decline that really only SRL saw. He had barely slipped at all and Mugabi was a tough mother****er. SRL was coming off of a looooong layoff, after surgery AND moving up in weight. You want to act like SRL somehow had the advantage in that fight? The deck was stacked against Marvin? ****ing ROTFLMAO.

Sugar Ray Leonard was that much better of a fighter than Marvin that he was able to overcome the HUGE obstacles to his success in that fight. That's the bottom line.

    RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR NO.

Marciano 5-11 190 pounds with Gloves on

    Lewis 6-5 255 pounds

    NO just NO.

But the other way you seam to forget

    Marvin Hagler bigger than Floyd
    Ray Leonard bigger than Floyd
Tommie Hearns way bigger than Floyd
The only man that wasnt was Duran but still even he was twice the aggressive fighter Jose L Castillo was.

You ****heads seam to forget that.

I think mate before you make a judgement on these old school fighters.

Watch some Tape and do some research.

You made the stupid ass comment that Leonard fought NO ONE in there Prime when he fought 2 of the top 30 fighters of all time judged by RING themselves all in there Prime.

Mate I leave with this thought.

    Corrales, Hatton, Castillo

    Compared to Prime
    wins for Leonard against
    Hearns
    Duran
    Benitez

    Ouch.:deal

    You are such a ******

I've never ever said Floyd's resume > Any of those 4.

You should learn to read before trying to personally insult someone who knows more boxing than you.

He does beat them though from time to time. Definitely beats Duran/Ray Leonard 50-50, 35-65 vs Hearns.

    :deal

That's outrageous and you know it.(Well I hope you know it) Spinks wasn't just a 'LHW Elite' . He was THE light heavyweight elite. Arguably top 1-3 in terms of h2h abilities. Guy got a awkward almost impossible to figure out style at 175... he was a legit 6'3 and had brutal KO power+Joe Louis like finishing abilities.. He also had very good ring intelligence and knew how to brawl/box/and swap back between offense/defense in the blink of an eye.
People look at Prime Tyson destroying an old Spinks at HW and think 'ok this guy is nothing'.. Heavyweight was never his true weight class. This guy is the LHW God. as big as Chad Dawson with infinitely more skills, heart, and power.

Spinks would have had a great chance of sending Roy Jones Jr into a sleep Roy would not have awaken from for days on end... Hagler as great as he was.. was a 5'9 164 pound man. He would have gotten beaten down in a horrific fashion against the equally skilled 6'3 180 Pound Spinks. It won't even have been 'close' as some Hagler fans like to think.. it would have been a ugly as hell career ending stoppage around the 8th-9th.

wtf? How can you have him even up with SRL and an underdog to Hearns? In what way, exactly, is Floyd a better fighter than SRL? What does he do so much better to make up for his inferior power and size?
