    Blame Lora.

He's been turning people against Locche for years now.

It must be cuz El Intocable makes all his favourite defensive specialists look like a bunch of sad peruvian midgets.

    I think Laguna>Locche anyway.

Locche was a one handed feather fist who often did **** all in rounds.

How scary does his record start to look if you consider that the Locche/Saldivar fights could have gone his way?

Not saying either is the case, but for mine it is based on the footage available of those fights....

I said he didn't belong in the top 100 and I'm basically pro any ethnically Italian boxer.

    And still won.

Willie Pep was a fairytale character made up by Burt Sugar.

    Locche is reality.

Saldivar-Laguna is one of those fights, especially judging by the footage IMO. Successful, if not beautiful quantity, versus sporadic, but sharp, quality.

But yes I agree, it would look damn, damn good.

Elorde was clearly very f'n good as well to beat Laguna so well. Would love to see from footage from that.

Laguna merc'd one of Locche's best wins also, Hernandez, who was a bigger guy who could really whack of course.

    Yes, Laguna>Pedroza.

Locche with hair isn't worth the time of day. I instinctively avoided all of his 'work' on this basis.

I have a hard time envisioning Locche deserving a decision against Laguna unless he could completely punk Laguna defensively. And the 4 minutes of footage didn't seem to indicate that happened. Although Laguna DID seem more cautious than normal.

Yeah, 4 minutes was all you needed for a comprehensive evaluation of this fight.

There's enough film of both of these guys floating around. Other than the Fuji fight, when is Locche an offensive dynamo? Laguna has an extremely high work rate. Just speculating. I think that's what we do here. But feel free to school me on Locche. He has slightly more offense than Jimmy Young. I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid either.

Well, if you aren't "drinking that Kool-Aid" then why bother trying to enlighten you?
