Luscious Lucas KO5, He'll put Peterson down once in the early rounds but he'll catch him with something more substantial and spark him. Danny and Angel will run for their lives
Your not the only one however im not one. The case of Lucas Matthysse on ESB is weird hes overrated by half and the other half underrate him, imo Matthysse will win alot of fans vs Petersen and will KO him.
That could well happen, (get a decision, not easily though) but i have a feeling that Lucas gets the TKO victory maybe after 2 or 3 KD's. Referee or corner stoppage.
Peterson decision. He's alot tougher than people give him credit for. He can be sent down to the canvas, but overall his chin is pretty good.
Matthysse PTS for me. I think his boxing skill is a little overshadowed, understandably, because of his huge power but he can set up his work well. Peterson's tough though so I see this going 12 rounds.
Peterson can be dropped and Mattyhse is full of confidence at the moment so I can see Lucas getting to him round 4 ish after sseveral knockdowns. Will be a great fight while it lasts
you can obviously see matthyse has power I wont deny that, but I just think he's fairly basic and doesn't do anything great in my eyes. Peterson being 5/2 is very tempting
I think Matthysse needs to jump on Lamont early, both are renowned for being pretty slow starters. Peterson is a tough guy but he was hurt several times by Khan and looked pretty bashed up at the end, Lucas obviously punches far harder, it's just a question of how much damage he can do. I'd probably say Matthysse via a mercy stoppage. Can't read too much into Lamont's KO win over Holt.
:think Do you think Matthysse will be able to do that and keep it up for the rest of the rounds? The main reason why I think he loses is because I think won't be able to. And those 5/2 odds are pretty good for Peterson!
The last Peterson performance was pretty Impressive, he looked strong and on point. Lucas is a heavy handed and brutal fighter and this can either end early or go to the cards with a split decision. I can't wait for this fight!
Tough fight to call. Peterson is a strong guy who can box but is also shaky early. Lucas as mentioned is a good pressure fighter who's boxing ability isn't acknowledged as it should be. He's not a Maidana he's more subtle and crafty. Peterson may want to go inside and close the range and try to ask questions of Matthysse who was beaten in AM's by Maidana. Maybe beneath the tattoo's, KO's and marauding pressure is a man who is fragile when taken deep. I remember that question being asked can't quite remember by who or where. Peterson will test this on Saturday and it will be up to Matthysse to keep this fight at range. Fantastic fight. I think it's a pick em'. I really like Matthysse think he's very good to watch. Systematic in his approach, Peterson i like because he finds a way in fights and his heart is massive. Peterson has been down 3 times in last 6 fights. I agree with Beeston Lucas needs to make early in roads because Peterson is like a engine that gets going and if Matthysse lets him get going and he gets inside it will be a trench war.
I think it's a great fight but I'd be quite surprised if Peterson won. Matthysse is so strong, tough, fit and powerful, there really aren't many gaps in his game. I rate Peterson too but I don't think he has the boxing ability to outpoint Matthysse and when it turns into the war I think it will, the tougher, harder hitting fighter will likely prevail and for me, that's Matthysse by a fair distance. It should be a good, gruelling fight and it's one I am really excited for.
Just gave Matthysse vs Alexander another watch and its still a joke, the fact they had one of the Alexander vs Kotelnik judges on again said it all.
