Mir has gotten his ass kicked in one-sided fashion several times.

But he has also had a genuinely outstanding career. Is it outstanding enough for a HOF induction?

He is a two-time HW champ (sort of). Has the most wins and most submissions in UFC HW history. Was one half of the main event of the biggest UFC card ever. Remains the only man to submit Big Nog in 43 pro fights. Had one of the best comebacks in MMA history after his accident.

Is that enough for HOF induction?

    Discuss. :good

And here he is talking about his motorcycle accident. Well worth a watch. He makes it sound funny, and he certainly tells a good story.

Dude has some legendary body parts hanging on his wall and a serious pair of balls.

    I think he deserves it.

Frank Mir's UFC achievements are probably sufficient to have him inducted >>>

    UFC Heavyweight Champion
    UFC Heavyweight Champion
Submission of the Night (Two times)
Most wins in UFC Heavyweight division
Most fights in UFC Heavyweight division
Most finishes in UFC Heavyweight division
Third most wins by submission in UFC history
Fastest submission in UFC Heavyweight division in history
Fought five different UFC Heavyweight Champions
Defeated four different UFC Heavyweight Champions

The ufc isn't hall of fame worthy. It's just turning 20 this year. There will be way too many shitty entries when you compare them to what is coming in the next 20 years.

This is true, but the pioneers need to be recognized for what they did to build the company. Frank Mir's career is HOF worthy now - in 20 years a similar career (similar # of quality wins as opposed to defeats) might get him a free ticket to watch someone else's induction ceremony.

But as it stands, he holds several significant HW records and has done enough that IMO he is a HOFer. :good

More than a little in all-time MMA terms I'd suggest :good

Because the ufc is too young you ****in dummie. It would be different if it were an mma hall of fame, and you could take it back to Carlson and Helio, but it isn't. It is just the UFC. With this ufc hall of fame nonsense, you can arge Rich Franklin deserves a place in it and have someone like Wanderlei never get in. That's stupid.

Why does it matter to look ahead in such a young sport? Rich Franklin. You can argue he deserves to be in the ufc's hall of fame now. In five years, it will look as stupid as you to have him in there.

Wandy isn't a UFC HOFer. He's an MMA ATG without any question at all, but that's not the question under discussion. :good
