You don't get to pick and choose in other sports who you get to compete against. :deal

Forget dominating the sport it's about records. You can dominate the sport by fighting low level opposition, OR you can dominate by setting new records.

Ok floyd has his undefeated record but his resume will always be questioned as to why he didnt ever fight the best at their best.

You don't get that in tennis, you're consistently playing the best in order to win he grand slams.

Federer has broken and set his own grand slam record and by some margin, which is a great achievement.

He also has the record of staying at number 1 for the longest period of time.

Russell would be the better example.

Wilt (Although a better player than Russell) was often beat by him in the matchups.

Bill was definitely more dominant than Wilt was.

But still, Floyd is more dominant if you look at their careers in terms of just longevity.

Mayweather has been named fighter of the year once by BWAA(2007) and twice by the ring(98 and 2007) and was not named fighter of the decade in either the 90s or the 2000s.

Dominating his weight class? Maybe, but definitely not the sport.

Jerry Rice was more dominant in the NFL, than Floyd is in boxing.
