Another shocking score card from Mr Parris in the Jamie McDonnell fight. I have only just got to see the fight and I am in Shock that he could only find 2 rounds for Julio Ceja, disgusting scoring. For me a very close fight which could have gone either way but I thing McDonnell did deserve the nod Just. I think its time for the authorities to say enough is enough and retire Mr Parris now, it is becoming embarrassing, not just for us as fans but for himself and for the British Boxing Board..
Judging and scoring goes beyond Dane Parris. As long as the murky side of the sport exists so will the likes of Parris.
What, a British judge, In Britain, scored a fight against a Mexican in favour of a Brit? SACK HIM Every 50/50 round he would have had for McDonnell
It wasn't the easiest of fights to score but whatever the merits of Mr Parris, the right fighter won after coming up against an opponent with no quit in him.
Yes there was. Your score is awful as well I'm afraid. That was a very close fight and anyone who sees it differently is plain wrong.
But you'd agree that because it was such a close fight, there were rounds that could've gone either way? I had it 115 - 113 to McDonnell with a few close rounds, think I scored 2 rounds for Ceja that were close and 1 for McDonnell.
I think Ceja definitely won rounds 2,3,4,10 and 11. The first is near impossible to score as so little happened. So it's a draw or a close win for Mcdonnell. Definitely have no problem with Jaimie winning, just embarrassed by that one ridiculous scorecard by Parris. Only 2 rounds? Simply not possible.
Watched it live at the Keepmoat - had McDonnell winning. Watched it online yesterday and did a scorecard - i had 115 - 113 in favor of McDonnell...No-idea what Parris was watching.
It was a close fight, every round apart from the 11th , its therefore perfectly possible to have a whole gamut of scores based on this and there really wouldn't be anything wrong with that. I had it by a round to McD at the event but Ive seen it since and I felt that he won wider. Uncle Dave does need to retire however
