What do you think of Schaefer's comments, Loudon?

He's just increased the pressure on himself to get it done tenfold. Why would he do that?

Schaefer: “Whoever is talking, discussing or stating that there is a weight issue regarding a potential Mayweather vs. Canelo fight does not know what they are talking about. This is all bull****. Let the professionals do their job and the amateurs should stay out of it. It is amazing how people make up all these stories just to see their name in the news. This is how you kill fights and not how you make them. I know that the world awaits to get this fight done but lets stop with all these bull**** stories."

Well, I hope he's telling the truth.

Obviously I don't know Reynose or Schaefer, but I'd be more inclined to believe Reynose. I hate Schaefer, and I don't trust him at all.

Reynose doesn't strike me as a guy that lies, and he told us about Canelo pulling out of the Guerrero card, because Floyd backtracked on his word.

So lets hope it's bull****, and the fight can be made. But I believe that Canelo and Cotto is definitely next.

Hopefully Schaefer is right - at the same time he doesn't want Mayweather walking away from the table with negative press so it's in his interests to keep both parties sweet...

Still hilarious watching the *****s defend 147 though, quite unreal in fact - when I read the 147 I thought no way can anyone defend that - I was very wrong!

Several of us aren't defending it. Those people are outing themselves big time and it'd be hilarious if the fight was made at 154 without stipulations in the end. They're in no position to criticize Pacquiao ever again, but shameless is shameless. I regret possibly prematurely ripping into Floyd a little bit over the last week and I'm just going to wait now.

    154 or no fight.

Canelo has a lot of fans, he has a right at least
to make some demands for this fight.

Floyd already avoided Pac, a smaller boxer than him.
He will not fight Canelo, no matter what.

    Manny Pacquiao >>> Canelo Alvarez
    (Particularly 2009-10)

If he does fight Canelo at 154 with no strings, it would make a statement though. Seeing as none of his detractors believes he takes it.

Floyd toying with canelo would not give him any credit. Floyd is greatness. Canelo is a kid who's drain at 154. Haters or not, were all just year to pass a bit of time.

I think that you are a canelo fan but a non-delusional one, very rare on the esb forums.

everything you are trying to explain to these guys is something that anyone that's followed the sport for 10+ years would already be well aware of.

canelo at 160 will lose whatever edge he has with his heavy hands(canelo is not strong per say) and will be average at best, probably less.

a good example is what happened to a wrecking machine like Abraham(considerably much, much more proven at 160 than canelo is at 154) when he moved up to 168.

he was pushed around and whatever advantage he had with his heavy hands were quickly nullified. and aa was proven at 160.

canelo has fought two legit jmw and took 12 rounds to get a referee stoppage against b-level Rhodes(previously kod twice) and was nowhere near stopping trout.

    not to mention 147 mosley.

the chances of canelo being successful at 160, let alone some delusional 168, is close to zero.

it 's funny how some people say that pacman was the biggest payday for floyd when floyd is the one making all the money. now, it's canelo is the biggest payday for floyd, when floyd is still making all the money. people are jokers and don't know what the F... they are saying.

If you are going to deny that Pacquiao was the biggest and most lucrative fight that Floyd could have taken and act like that wasn't going to be the biggest fight in history then you are beyond being a *****.
