He had such a good rags-to-riches story, such an inspiring tale, and he ruined it all by being a dirty drugs-cheat. The last thing in the world a proven drug-cheat should be preaching is respect. He didn't show any respect the sport or his opponent or even the fans when he cheated his way to the top by taking PED's to beat Kahn nor when he was caught cheating and attempted to vindicate himself instead of owning up, so why should I show him any respect?

Lamont is my man! He's one of the most humble and cool characters in the sport. I gotta lot of love and respect for that guy and hope he's able to overcome these obstacles. Everyone makes mistakes but it's those who come back better and learn from those mistakes that separates the great from the good.

He had my respect I thought he was a hard working black man with a huge heart as he demonstrated with khan Ortiz and Bradley. He had all my respect I was a fan. I would say this is what a black fighter should strive to be balls to the wall and the heart of a champion not all the softies running around hugging potshotting on their toes and holding on for dear life on the inside, nah. Uhh Peterson was a man not a *****.
