    Dear Americans,

    On behalf of British boxing please accept my apologies for tonight's farce....

    Purdy god bless him has absolutely no chance and isn't even in our top 5 welterweight rankings.

    His promoter should be ashamed sending him over to get Bashed up and embarrass British boxing again

    He is an honest come forward brawler with good power but he is more basic then chesse and bread- he will not lay a glove on Devon who should be looking to tee off on him from round 2 onwards

    .

    alexander has balls and ducks nobody,if brook grew some he would be facing alexander for a world title instead of getting that a** whooped by carson again.Alexander should look impressive and i expect him to get a tko or ko.

    100% agree Denton whilst I dont think would have won would certainly give Alexander a run for his money.

    Purdys gonna take a beating.. He's massively overmatched here and to top it off his preparation couldn't of been much worse by the sounds of it. :-(

    Purdy is a top 5 british welterweight admittedly probably number 4 or 5. He's a good european level fighter that's it

    Also it's called being a good promoter getting him the shot. Purdy is earning a career high pay day and if he wins or even performs well, it will set him well for other good paydays for years

    It was kinda disrespectful Purdy couldnt make weight so wont be fighting for the belt... I'd rate John O'Donnell, Frankie Gavin, Colin Lynes, Denton Vassell, Matthew Hatton, Kell Brook and Ashley Theophane above Purdy domestically... And he still didnt make weight. But this is life... This will end in 7, with Purdy's corner pulling him out. Alexander isnt all that tbh, but Purdy as again isnt even top 5 domestically
