Lucas' beard is untested, but do you see Danny being to be able to a) keep matthysse of off him the entire fight b) take power shots and survive?

Ik Danny has a good chin, but zab seemed to have him stunned late in the fight, I can only imagine how he would react to lucas' power...

If he can get Lucas to respect him early it's possible he can out-box him. Garcia's Ring IQ and versatility may be getting underrated here. He is a huge JR WW with size, range, and a bit of pop himself. Naturally Lucas is the proverbial favorite after what we just witnessed, and stylistically he's got the edge. Garcia can be a bit of a wide hooker with his left hook, I can see him getting in trouble because of that. I think it's a 70/30 maybe 60/40 type fight if you want to be generous to Danny.

Lucas is a bit wild at times when punching and I believe with Danny's very good timing, that he could catch Lucas in between punches.

    But Lucas most likely wins

What do you mean Matthysse's beard is untested? He's been in the ring with:

    Judah
    Alexander
    Peterson
    Soto

And has handled all their shots fairly well.

Yeah, but at the same time Lucas generally is very controlled when he needs to be. He gets a reckless when he seems to think he's out of danger. Garcia can be a bit wide with his hook too. I think you've got a good point, though.

Garcia's best chance is his powerful left hook.

He can time it to full effect during Mathysse's aggression.

But I think Lucas would take it well.

Danny has TIMING in his favour.. That left hook is HUGE...but also wide looping. He will also be HUGE on fight night, at ringside tonight Garcia looked very big, he is a big 140 fighter.

Matthysse while big himself, has the better chin and greater POWER. For chin checkers (idiots) who doubt this - I refer you to the respective Judah fights. Judah should have lost to Matthysse IMO - but he did catch Matthysse early and in the mid rounds with a couple of huge left hands/uppercuts right on the LUCAS Chin, and he just SMILED and CAME RIGHT BACK. Garcia on the other hand was frozen solid and his legs stiffened up everytime Judah caught him with a good shot.

I beleive, if the fight goes long, Matthysse is more likely to win because Garcias weight draining at 140 will cost him. Early on he has a better chance if he can TIME a big left hook while Matthysse is swinging. Although I would still put my money on MATTHYSSE winning this fight in the mid rounds after an action packed and brutal war.

I feel Angel Garcia is gonna keep his mouth shut this time, he might try influence the referee and Matthysse by mentioned rabbit punches and **** like that. But no way will he make THE MACHINE angry...he knows what's good for his son.

yeah he's got very good technique for his style. Occasionally he'll get over anxious and that's when Garcia can land, but I don't see those oppurtunities being often and Matthysse has the best chin in the division imo except maybe Rios

    He needs a gun.
Lucas sends him flying to the cheap seats. Garcia is nothing special and his last three wins against an ancient, overweight former champ and an overconfident china chinned contender and another old ex champ dont show he's ready for a crazy guy like that. People would do well not to overlook Matthysse's boxing ability

of those only i only consider one of them as a proven puncher at lww (zab) and even zabs power isnt what i would consider elite. soto= former featherweight, alexander = non-puncher, peterson = average power at lww.
