Shocking commentary from Jim watt again! McDonnell outclassed this lad for me throughout.. I did have him losing the first few rounds yet watt had him winning them? Someone correct me if im wrong? McDonnell was brilliant
Ringside it looked as close as you like, on the first watching of the fight on TV it was close, Ive watched it 4 times now and every time McDonnell takes it clearer
Think McDonnell deserved it watching it again. Very close, but I think he just did enough. Showed great footwork, concentration and defence.
I watched it live had it McDonnell by more...on replay looked closer strangely so slighly contradicting myself but watt is such a crap commentator if that had being sky live he'd of had him winning every round!
It was a great example of a fighter boxing to his absolute maximum ability in my view. Chuffed for McDonnell
Possibly maximum defensively but surely can offer more on offense? Real shame he doesn't have one punch power...
Saw it live on TV.Good fight,but thought McDonnell won clearly.First time I saw him was against Edwards.Looked great for the first 8 rounds or so,then faded.Edwards a really good pro,but not world class.Jamie reminds me of Burns in the way he's improved to become a champion.Hope he carries on in the same way.
Thought it was a great showing by McDonnell ,out fought the puncher,very good win ,well chuffed for him
