He's a guy that lost to Devin no power Alexander, mayweather would outbox and notify his power. Mayweather wins UD, matthysse has average boxing skills his only chance is a ko or tko. He has the power to beat mayweather but not the skills to get too him.

If you think he was robbed or not the point is he couldn't finnish Alexander. He still lost the decision even with a knockdown, he's not going to win a decision against mayweather. He'd have to tko ok or dominated him so bad you can't deny he won, he's not dominating mayweather so he will lose a decision.

Firstly, he beat Alexander. Also, Alexander is not known to have a dodgy chin and Lucas is the only boxer to have floored him so far. Secondly, nobody is claiming Matthysse beats Mayweather.

I was impressed by his head movement to be honest. I saw him slip a couple of Petersons punches pretty clearly. He has improved imo.

Not a highly skilled fighter IMO. :verysad

He's prety sloppy and engages with loaded up powershots from too far away. No way do I think he could ever beat Mayweather.

Having said all that, his power is ****ing sick! Just about anyone that faces him at 140 better be saying their prayers hoping that this beast of a man doesn't decapitate them in the ring.

He is mentally tough. He has that stone cold demeanor like he knows it is just a matter of time and you know it's just a matter of time. He moves his head and he is a little impatient but once he realizes that you can't handle his pressure or hurt him he will go into full terminator mode like he did with PeDerson. His jab could not even get Matthyse attention let alone keep him at bay.

I've been saying this for years dude. If they brought back the
ESB quiz in order to join ESB this place would be cleared out.

With that being said, while i don't rate matthysse as a very skilled
fighter he's NOT just a crude slugger. He def needs to settle down
when he gets his man hurt though.

Matthysse is awesome. Has all the insane crazy power and backs it up and enhances it with boxing skills.

Guy puts the right shots in at the right time and is deceptive with his skills. Watch him execute the pull counter. Leans back, comes back with a straight right, right hook, overhand right, or uppercut to the body. The variation on his right hand is sick, and it's why he can knock people out. They can't counter his right effectively becuase they don't know when it's coming or what form it will take.

I also love how patient he is. He's looking for the KO the entire time but he just stalks you and boxes until you're there to be taken out.

Reminds me of Joe Louis the way he approaches fight strategy. Not the same style obviously, but they both seem to have the same things in mind when fighting. Move forward, be patient, open them up, don't forget the body, and always be ready to put in the killshot.
