GGG is my man, I've been singing his praises since before I joined here:smoke

As good as Martinez is, I think Golovkin is coming at the right time now to ale him out.

agreed. i'm all aboard the Martinez in the hall of fame train. but he's slowing down a touch and golovkin is full of ****ing confidence. that and he hits like a proper *******

i'm worried about the post fight interview where i have to listen to the painfully nice GGG talk about how "martinez...he's good boy. good boy"

It's a solid pick, but don't bet it all. Money management is key if you're actually into better/picking fights no matter how tempting the big bets are. It's your money though.

Matthysse is a hardcore fan's wet dream.

Casual american fans don't care about some unknown argentinian.

Yup that's the way I see it too.

It's weird that a man that nice can have such heavy hands, be such a bad mo'phucka in the ring:lol:

Who he is as a fighter is a casual fan's wet dream, but you're correct as far as the politics are concerned. You sure a "hardcore fan"'s isn't someone like Rigonedow? All his phony forum nuthuggers... You know, boxing is about hitting and not getting hit, Lester, Pete... Not winning. :rofl

I am more of a Maidana fan personally, but I've always recognized Lucas was the superior of the two. His style and attitude are wonderful. I don't think it's out of the question that he can beat Mayweather assuming he gets by Garcia and looks great. Mayweather is a very reactionary fighter and Lucas sets up his punches well. If he can refine a hair more and carry his power and be strong at WW I don't think it would be in anyway a shock.

Garcia on the other hand probably has very very slim chances against Mayweather, although he does possess a certain physicality. He's simply just not good enough. Canelo still has the best odds because of his size, naturally.

Geale is fighting Barker on HBO and Sergio facing Geale afterwards seems alot more likely since its less dangerous and a good win on paper, just the way Sergio likes it.

Do you think Matthysse is in no way good enough, or doesn't have the potential, or do you think Mayweather is just that much better? I understand the latter but you've been relatively tough on Mayweather's placement from a historical standpoint.

The one thing is Mayweather showed his legs are much better than we thought, however, Lucas is not as ploddy and as flat-footed as Guerrero. I say if he beats Garcia conclusively bring it on!

I still can't believe he's been able to land the shot at Macklin.

    Nah, Rigo's old news, he's too mainstream.:tong

True hardcore fans love Roman Gonzalez, El Nica and Shinsuke "Seppuku" Yamanaka.:bbb

Sergey "The Krusher" Kovalev's destruction of Campillo is better than any of GGG's wins.:ibutt

And he looked very good doing it.

    And nobody talks about him.:-(
