Golovkin and it's not even close. Mathysse's jab is mediocre, Ggg's is among the best or near it.

Matthysse won't be able to ko everybody, even less when/if he moves up so he'll have to get busier if he wants to win decisions.

    Golovkin is much more technical.

Golovkin. Even though Lucas has fought the much better opponents, he did drop a close fight to Judah, who is a mentally weak fighter and been knocked out before. Fights with good movement and boxing skill seem to see the final bell against him.(judah and devon)

GGG has better boxing skills IMO to boot with his power.

The good thing for Lucas is he has alot of highly regarded fighters to test himself against. If he moves to 147 a mayweather fight is not out of the question. He also could fight Broner.

GGG only really has a faded Sergio and green Peter Quillion to test himself against. A move to 168 could see him land ward or froch. I heard he can still make 154 but i doubt GBP would let canelo fight him.

Golovkin is pretty much a more technical version of Matthysse.

Mathysse has the greater pool of fighters in GBP to show us how great he is and can be...

GGG does have a chance at marquee names, like Chavez JR, Martinez that are HBO, A big pool of Euro type talent he can feast on in the top 10.. then there is ward @ 168

its going to be about who faces the top talent and succeeds

It would be hypocritical of me to not agree with this even though I like GGG more, as I use the same argument in regards to Abner Mares thus far.

They are both are very overrated...But GGG is slightly better than Matthyse (but both are hype jobs)

Rigo is the guy to look out for...He's the real deal.

I say Matthysse because he has the better opposition to face, if GGG beats Martinez apart from Quillin theres not alot of people that are big wins, he would have trouble with smw's

Well, if he doesn't somehow become full of himself and lose his head he's going to chop Garcia in half in September and would have already taken out the top dogs in his division and pretty much be King of 140. Broner needs to come down and fight the winner of that one if they aren't lining up a Floyd fight by that point already.

Big fan of both guys. I believe GGG is the better fighter, but Matthysse has a better chance to build a strong legacy because GBP has a large stable of fighters he could fight from 140-147. GGG can clear out 160 in my opinion (provided people are willing to fight him), but he'll have problems at 168. He's not that big of a guy.

GBP would be stupid to lose the opportunity to pin Mayweather and Broner right now.

mathysse has the garcia fight in the bag, he would end garcia so easy.

Now its up to GBP to decide what they will do.

GGG has no real comp at 160 besides Martinez, who's on the downside.

I'd take GGG to stop Martinez at this point.
