Respect to Khan, he WILL fight him. Dude's got all the heart in the world. If he can avoid getting caught clean he'll win easily. That's a pretty big catch though.

Sure he'd likely lose, but what'd you expect a fighter to say?

Again mate, outside the UK,you don't see things like the Primetime broadcasts where he used to spout **** about Morales and Marquez ducking him and Floyd only fighting old guys(ten mins after he said Morales wanted no part of him and Floyd was walking out to fight that old veteran Victor Ortiz!) and shouting about he's Britain's #1 boxer and should be a PPV fighter.

The main reason I've come to dislike him is that he used to be a humble young man whose conduct after the 7/7 bombings was inspirational. Then he lost to Prescott, tried and failed horribly to carry off the arrogant persona, said ridiculous things like Mayweather was a coward and started blaming others for losses.
To be fair, he was better after the Garcia loss but trying to convince us that he's huge in the US when they were giving away free tickets on fight night and his general conduct has turned people against him.
And I get very angry when people say he's hated because he's Asian do my head in,because his conduct after 7/7 was one of the very reasons I was a fan.
But he's an absolute PR disaster and with people like Saj around him,he can't blame anyone but himself.
But as I always say, come fight night,he's great value.

I would be shocked if Khan lasted 2 rounds with Matthysse

It has been all over the place lately. Ever since Mathhysse knocked out Peterson and Khan is barking he wants to fight him and could/would beat him. However, hopefully(doubt it) everyone knows he's just talking out of his ass and is moving up to welterweight.

Well you have to commend him for wanting to take on anyone in the 140 and 147 lb divisions. But it's a terrible match-up for Khan, Lucas has cinder blocks in both of those hands and one clean shot will put Khan on the ground. He looked awful against a much past his prime Diaz.

I personally think Khan fighting Matthysse would be a car crash for Khan.

However, there is one interesting argument, I think it came from Nicky Piper. Khan has spent many, many hours and rounds doing Roach's Full contact sparring with the likes of Manny & other top fighters and by all accounts took full blooded shots well, which is why Roach was so confident with him. However, that was pre fight, when Amir was off season and usually weighing around 155lbs. Most of Khan's troubles have occurred in fights when he has boiled down. This could be one suggestion why his resistance appears to lessen at the lower weight. Perhaps he'll be a little stronger and more natural at 147lbs?
Not sure I'm converted into believing that but it food for thought. Some fighters do improve when they don;t have to cut so much for the bout.
Either way its still not a valid reason to take on Matthyse. He's everything Khan struggles with and signing to fight him would be a huge risk/reward.

Khan could be the next hearns

Hearns had a weaker chin too, and great power and speed

A win over matthyse would make khan p4p 1

Garcia is a lucky talentless bum who 'tarver'd' out

Khan destroys him in a rematch

to win this fight he'd literally have to throw a punch then move, constantly moving.. no daft 100 straight punch combos with an uppercut on the end ... dont engage at any point, run like a *****

Yes Khan has fought some tough opponents and he was a fighter I thought could present a real challenge to Floyd a couple of years back ...

However, your last 2 lines ... :blood

Still laughing. For his next trick Khan will stand in front of an on coming train.
