I hope it happens ! I'll be rooting for Matthysse. Garcia is too wide and I don't think his chin is top-notch to take Matthysse's power away. :yep

A quote from Max Kellerman during the Cotto-Margarito I countdown applies, for me, to Matthysse here. He said, "I would not want to be Cotto. I would not want to be the guy in with Margarito when Margarito feels like he has finally arrived." Matthysse wants this badly. His determination, motivation, and pre-fight preparation will be at an all-time high.

I think Garcia's chin is plenty good, but i think his defence leaves too much to be desired for his chin to bail him out against a puncher like Mathysse.

The only guys that have beaten Mathysse (however questionably) were guys with speed, slickness and quick feet, and i would imagine those are the only kind of guys that ever could beat him, which is why i'm not going for the "Mathysse would KO Mayweather" bs.

Garcia is not the right style of fighter to get it done.

Just because you want it dont mean it will happen if Garcia can land his hook first this can be something epic.

True, but even if Garcia lands his left hook flush, I doubt it does much to deter Matthysse. Garcia's power doesn't really impress me at all.

you're thinking at Amer Con, bro ?! :think

I say that Lucas is a much better version of Maidana with better power ,accuracy , ring IQ ,toughness and timing !

You saw what Maidana did to Amer, even if Con won that fight ?! :hey

I think so . Matthysse would take that left hook and fire back with more bad intentions .

I think both can KO each other. garcia's power is underrated. Lucas be open alot when he throws, and Garcia can throws some bombs.

I'm going with Matthysse. My inclination is that he'll get the stoppage but maybe Garcia is tough enough to go the distance.

I can't see Garcia winning though. One thing I wouldn't want to be against Lucas is flat-footed. Garcia likes to be in close but he's not quick enough, or defensively sound enough to stay away from Matthysse's power. Garcia is well-rounded but he doesn't do anything exceptionally well. I think this fight ends badly for him.

I love Garcia but he won't beat Lucas. He'll give it his all but will come up short. He's too stationary to beat a guy like Mattysse and will get ground down and stopped.

The first place I look is down at the feet. Lucas isn't great at cutting off the ring. But Danny isn't a big mover. From time to time, Garcia will step around his opponent to create openings for his overhand right. He'll need to do that repeatedly to avoid the straight right hand from Lucas and land shots of his own.

The problem is that Lucas has really developed a sold left hook. He should be able to use that to keep Danny from moving around him. It's a great fight, but I see Danny getting repeatedly clipped, and eventually stopped.

Of course, Danny is a guy who is easy to pick against. Yet he's well rounded enough to keep making those predictions look foolish in hindsight.

I love Danny. Lucas's power just seems God like. Its ridiculous.
