Found his fight on youtube, and he looked good. The guy was obviously out of his depth and was a midget, but i was speaking to someone who was at the fight and they told me everyone on the undercard was matched weak, invluding guys like anthony peterson, but they said khan showed some great body punching and impressed alot of people. Anyway i was windering who do people think he can be matched with within his step up fights?? http://youtu.be/i33FMEwKM6Q
iron_chin, I'm genuinely curious. Why do you consistently feel the need to register new accounts just to make a thread on the Khan's? That said, he looked good against a fighter who should never have been in the ring in the first place. Nothing to take from it, just have to wait and see how he develops.
Looked good against a child who had no business being in a professional boxing ring. He might as well be 0-0 still, but you could say that about most prosects first 5 or 10 fights. People who think they can see a future World Champ already are utter morons. Ask me again in a year. EDIT: In regard to who he could fight it's difficult as he's in a bit of nothing division for the time being, and I feel he might just fall short even at British level one weight up where the likes of Yafai, Hall, Ward and Haskins are knocking about. He's a difficult one to match as he's in one of the lesser known divisions, where a 'no-name' could still be a very competant boxer. I wouldn't be getting anyone in from the Americas anytime soon for him anyway, maybe build a nice record against fighters with even records, no point him fighting these midget children he won't learn a thing. Then once Butlers on to bigger and better things I'd get him a British shot at Super Fly, once he's took that outright I'd move him onto Euro level, but not until you could see he was ready for the step up. He's only a young'un isn't he? Can afford to take their time getting to European/World level if he's capable, no need to rush, but also no point in fighting complete no hopers who he can't learn from.
First fight was poor. Second fight looked much better. The fights are pointless, start watching when he begins to mix it up with lower level domestic fighters. He is fighting guys that most can beat and they give you no indication of his level. The only time these type of fights are interesting are when the prospect appears to have concussive power.
I saw glimpses of Sugar ray Leonard, i mean the speed, the slickness, the power it was beautiful. His opponent was of high quality, much taller, more power and was undefeated, had won his last 10 fights all by KO and he didn't even last 1 minute with Khan JR. World title shot next for Khan JR, no can beat him after that performance.
After a poor debut they gave him a can he could knock over to give himself some confidence I would'nt bother analyizing that performance
dwarves naturally have strong chins(head is relatively big compared to the rest of the body) Harpoon KO'ing a dwarf is a good demonstration of his punching power
