NO, the issue was to keep someone like matthyse off you have o be able to engage and deter him. and then move your head / get on your bike. if you just run for 12 rounds , that gets tiring real quick and when ou slow you are a sitting duck for someone like matthyse. ideal game plan imo is to throw sharp jabs, occasional 1-2 s whilst changing the angles. step to the side 1-2, step again whilst moving your head. if ever you feel in danger then hold on until the ref breaks you and start again. when matthyse isnt coming forward at 100% intensity then maybe throw in the odd body shot / hook. all the while pivoting and using lateral movement. but doing a marathon like lamont in the first round is not going to last 12 unfortunately as a tactic. wha do others think the riht tactics are to fight him?
