****ing excuse me? Sorry, but I was one who actually thought PAvlik/Pascal/Cloud were not that good at all. Guess what? Hopkins is still a ****ing legend. But let's not go blowing up Calzaghe's big wins over guys past their primes. And let's not ****ing kid ourselves that the Hopkins of now is somehow better than the Hopkins who fought Roy (1st fight).

Dude ran through the super middle division, every god damn last one of them. And he did it like it wasn't ****. Then he takes out the man at light heavy (who beat hopkins, who beat Pascal. And Bad Chad would have KO'd Pascal had the headbutt not occurred. Wait till their rematch). Please, just please....

What? I mean ****ing what? I don't care what anyone says, prime Roy Jones absolutely murders Calzaghe. That is the only match up that I care about. Not one where Roy is past it and got KO'd twice already. What the **** is wrong with you? I seem top remember a lot of people clowning Joe for fighting an old Roy and Hopkins and claiming he was the best ever. Get outta here..

Please. You claimed he "goes out of his way" to fight "anyone/anywhere" and that simply isn't true.

Kessler was WBA Super Super Middleweight Champ and what happened? He came to Ward, when Ward was a nobody and put his title on the line in Ward's backyard. Then Green came to Ward in Ward's backyard, Bika came to Ward in Ward's backyard, Abraham came to Ward in Ward's home state, Dawson came to Ward in Ward's backyard. Litterally the only significant name Ward's fought outside of California is Froch and even then it was still in his country forcing Froch to travel far further for the fight than he did.

Ward's not travelled to make any major fight except the one against Froch, and he's only fought outside California 7 times in 26 fights. That is indisputably not "going out of his way" to fight "anywhere".

And he is also not "going out of his way" to fight "anyone". He's had the hometown advantage over every significant name he's fought, he dragged Dawson down to his weight, and he turned Bute down when Bute was crying out for the fight. If he went out of his way to fight anyone then he would have travelled outside of California more than once during the Super Six, he would have fought a big name outside of America by now, he would have gone up to Light Heavyweight and he would have made the fight with Bute instead of making all those bull**** excuses as to why he shouldn't fight him.

Now, Ward has beaten the best at Super Middleweight and the King of the Light Heavyweight division and is one of the best fighters in the world today - I freely admit this - but your trying to pass him off as something he's not, as someone who hasn't had every major fight bar one handed to him on a silver platter and as someone who took any challenge and gave up his advantages to do so.

Which isn't what you said. You said "Anyone (including theor mothers) could have predicted a Calzaghe win" and you were wrong. There was a significant portion of the boxing world - boxers, former boxers, journalists and fans - who were predicting that Roy Jones Jr would beat Joe Calzaghe in 2008, and there was a significant split in that same demographic over who they thought would win between Hopkins and Calzaghe in 2008. Opinion was split before both fights occured which makes your original comment on the fights totally invalid.

Make your mind up. According to you Pascal is "not that good at all" and Hopkins is so far past his prime that he has nothing left to prove and his own mother knows he's a loser. So, by your own logic, Dawson can't be particularly good.

So what? Middleweight Jermain Tylor beat Hopkins more convincingly than Joe , not once but twice...Nobody claims he's great for the wins. Neither is Joe.

Exactly, and that was 3 years earlier. I don't even think Joe beat Hop anyway.

Also, the weight was not an issue.

Joe had two of his best camps fighting at 175. He was starving himself to make 168 in the last 3 years of his career.

Hopkins beat him. Prime Jones would have beaten him. Kessler and Lacy were just above average. Calzaghe was good, not great.
