part of me wants to immediately say, well you should of give the 20 million to marquez and then the other part is glad. I feel that Paquiao/Marquez rivalry is finally closed. Marquez finally got closure and he can move on. Timmy/Marquez should be a very tough fight for both guys. The real question is on Timmy, and how that provodnikov fight affected him.

I'm sure Beristain was disappointed in Pacquiao when Marquez wasn't given an immediate rematch after far more questionable victories.

I think it says a lot the Pacquiao still wants a rematch.

And none of the rematches in question were immediately after the first fight and each one occurred at a progressively higher and less comfortable weight for Marquez.

regardless of when they were given and under what circumstances the point is he gave him 3 MORE chances..... Marquez gave none in return... and since he's pretty much at the end of his career it doesn't look like he will get the opportunity to give Manny a chance.... Pacman was too nice

tbh, I wouldn't have given him that 4th chance.

    P.S. I'm not a fan of a fifth fight

A fifth fight failing to occur within a period of time in which Pacquiao never granted Marquez a rematch is not indicative of Pacquiao being too nice or a rematch never occurring at all. It's indicative of Marquez giving Pacquiao the same treatment he was repeatedly subjected to.

Pacquiao fought tooth and nail to keep the 3rd match from occurring at 140 (despite all the talk from his fans of being a "true junior welter") and refused a catchweight for the 4th one as well. His comfort level was what dictated the weight, not Marquez's.

It's the competitor in him. Roach hates losing.
