And you're a fanboy :good I like watching boxers box and MMA fighters fight. I love both sports equally. That doesn't mean I'm delusional enough to think a completley 1 dimensional fighter like Mayweather (or any boxer) could beat an MMA fighter.
Cintron is not just any boxer, he had extensive amateur wrestling experience. He would be one of the very few who would achieve success in MMA. As for the deal, I don't know anything about it.
Huge risk, no reward. Almost everybody believes that Mayweather is the best boxing has to offer. Nobody believes that of Cintron, and nobody would buy tickets. Dana White is also clever enough to know that Cintron is a puncher and would most likely finsh off Shrek the first minute of the first round.

if Mayweather goes through with this, it will be an absolute disgrace to boxing, on a par with Ali fighting that wrestler Inoki in the 1970s. Why in the world would Mayweather feel like he needs to slum it in the MMA world? Even associating himself with a rumour about it just cheapens his appeal as a champion.
