I think Macklin and McGirt will stick to a game plan. They did well against Martinez and I imagine Macklin will try box safe for the first few rounds. I imagine he will try land something big eventually but they will fancy their chances the longer the fight goes on.
It sure is a mountain to climb though. GGG unfortunately for Macklin, has skills to match his power.

I think Macklin will test Golovkin and we will see if he is the real deal that we all think he is.

Nope. Macklin will receive a moderate beating and be stopped.
They have to come up with something else to puncture the GGG bandwagon's tyres.

i think this is a great step up for GGG

We should see where he really is and how good he is

For me Macklin has had a few too many hard fights and i think that will tell in this fight. He will get stopped mid rounds

But should be a very good fight while it lasts.

I think Macklin might have a bit of early success but by the mid rounds we'll see the same outcome as the Moore fight with Macklin face down on the canvas.

Golovkin is a destroyer of a puncher, apart from that he can box pretty damn well too. I think he beats everybody at 154lbs, 160lbs, I would imagine he beats a few of the champions at 168lbs as well.

Most of this forums analysts said Murray would take a systematic beating fighting Martinez............. There's too much hype around here on a fighter being invincible. Everyone bummed Khan until a nobody destroyed his career.

    ***POOR TASTE ALERT***

Mack 'the wife' becomes a victim of domestic violence.

Nah sorry, had that rolling around my head for a coupla days and had to let it out. I actually respect Macklin a lot, but there's just no special skills he brings which I can see troubling Golovkin. Mack's a good solid all rounder, but just a step behind Golo in every area as I see it.

Of course, it's boxing, and anything can happen but I wouldn't go putting the house on Mack cos' of the good odds.

Oh yeah, and both fighters really need to work on those ring names - 'the knife' vs 'triple G' - c'mon now..that's just silly.

Not sure why your saying Macklin is unpopular as he comes across as a decent guy whenever I've saw him.

Think GGG is going to banjo him though.

Whenever a fighter is elibigle for both British nationality and another nationality and they choose the latter over the former, well people around here get a little bit upset about that. Some people can't contemplate why someone wouldn't want to be British (although it's not really about that, it's about what nationality they feel they are), and are angered by it.

If Macklin had a British passport, described himself as proud to be British (and nothing else), that he was gonna 'Win a World title for Britain' and paraded himself around in Union trunks, well then he'd almost certainly be more popular than Barker and Murray on here, and likely with the general public too. But he doesn't, so instead he suffers the abuse he does.

Of course there are other reasons some people may dislike him, such as looking (and getting) bigger fights instead of looking for fights with Barker and Murray, but it's mainly the nationality thing.

  15. I'm looking forward to this should be a *******

There has been no announcement of British tv coverage as far as I'm aware
Does anybody know any different or any whispers

I'm pretty sure Hearn has good contacts with dibella and if they weren't interested boxnation have shown about 3 previous ggg fights so would no doubt want this now he has a big competitive fight
