So is Froch v Kessler getting the Casuals involved? Is the hype working?

The US PPV's are twice the price of the UK PPV's Craney so you've just answered your own question, the price needs to be justified so by having one fight for £15 it is in line with the US system of having two fights for £30 or just over. It's amusing that you think American PPV's are justified on top of cable subscriptions which are higher than the UK as well even though they're more expensive but think that the Sky system is extortionate. Just shows your inherent bias and preference for anything Stateside, especially if it features one of your favourites like Broner even though you apparently don't have any favourites as it inhibits your ability to watch fights "objectively" ! Your principles are so interchangeable depending on who you're talking about I think you actually confuse yourself.

People are paying upwards to a £100 if not more for Sky TV. These people should qualify to watch this fight for free. That is the problem. The fact of the matter is this world basically does have a zombie outbreak with sheepeople brainwashed to the point where they have no say or opinion, they just do exactly what they are told to do through the TV.

I won't be paying for the fight and I won't be watching it on a stream. I'll wait until the next card SS1 put on and they'll replay Froch vs. Kessler anyway. Either that or I'll go on the BBC site and get live-text updates or listen to it on BBC Radio 5 Live. :good

Believe it or not I can survive without watching this fight, I've already seen it once. :scaredas:

Bringing up the price of US PPVs is a complete red herring, basically because we don't live there. PPVs in this country used to be stacked, this one and the last few have not been.

I'm not bringing up the price of PPV's in general, the fight is 55 Euros in Denmark apparently which is a lot but as you say fairly obsolete. I was just pointing out to Craney that he favours the American system of charging twice as much for a bill with 2 head line fights on top of their subscriptions whereas we're being asked to pay half for 1 fight. The maths is the same but apparently one is better value.

It's unfortunate that Bute/Pascal has been postponed because that was an excellent part of the card. Froch/Kessler II, Bute/Pascal and Bellew/Chilemba are three world level fights and it's unusual that a PPV delivers that. You can't fault Hearn that an injury happened but it has hurt the strength of this PPV.

Had all three fights gone ahead as planned, and you had Groves, Ochieng, Smith etc., on the undercard, it would have been better than the average PPV card. It's still nowhere near as bad as people are making out though, and I'm still not sure why people object to it being on PPV. I couldn't give a **** if a Jon Lewis Dickinson fight was on PPV with absolutely no undercard.

They've always been twice the price, I've never understood that and I think its a disgrace, as I have said before, so no, I haven't answered my own question. They have started offering more quality on US PPV's, they've "got with the times".....why is the UK any different? For them to charge another £15 for fights, at the very least I'd expect at least 2 QUALITY fights. We only have possibly 1.....because there is no guarantee that it can be as good or better than the first. This is boxing for ****s sake!!! They stopped doing PPV because of the last farce, are you forgetting that?

Both fights are rematches and the one was on SS1 a few weeks back and a lot of people said it was boring.

Once again JonnyBBad on his moral high ground "Oh you're showing bias towards US"

WTF is this one now?

Tell me please, explain how that is? Oh! I forgot you're part of that group where EVERYBODY has to be on sides right? Yeeeees you are! If you're against something that MUST MEAN you are for something else! MUST! :tired

Liverpool vs. Man United militant fans mentality. I said this months ago! You're proving me right Jonny! I know you hate that.

I live in the UK, why the **** would I be bias towards the US cards? I'm saying its disgusting for Sky Sports Subscribers to have to fork out MORE money, on top of the load they already pay, for 1 fight. I feel sorry for those people and the card SHOULD be of better quality to justify the PPV.

What is exactly wrong with that point of view? And how has that got to do with me being bias towards the US cards? Do you love getting ****ed over?

Goodness gracious me you are a piece of work. ****.

Sorry Craney, my mistake, it's just I read this post and the bit where you say "People demand 2-3 fights, they are delivering that in the US" as though it were a good thing. Right after your long predictable paragraph about zombies and Sky TV that we've all heard so many times before and still managed not to give a **** about. Of course you weren't taking any sides or suggesting that one PPV product is superior/inferior to the other as you are just such an objective guy you couldn't possibly do such a thing :hi:

Then you accuse me of taking a moral high ground after your rants about Sky, you couldn't **** me over anyway because you're not intelligent enough or articulate enough, whenever you've tried in the past I've categorically destroyed you. Lets not make that happen again as I actually feel a bit sorry for you.

I'm sticking up for the people paying for this fight. IMO its not enough for £15, the card itself is ordinary. WTF has that got anything to do with bias towards US PPV's? Other users on here have pulled you up on that statement about US PPV's!

....and I love how you added that last paragraph in bold after your first. :hey

You genuinely think you're winning and above me don't you you plant?

Quick! Someone give this plant a gold medal for "destroying" someone on an internet forum! Quick! Make him feel better about himself! :happy

You've destroyed nobody on this forum Jonny lad. Absolutely nobody. In fact plant, if you feel sorry for me, then why do you keep coming back ay? Why do you keep replying and listening to what I have to say if its all just utter BS? Surely that means I've got you round my little finger and if anybody categorically owns/destroys you, its actually the craney91, either that or you are actually unknowingly categorically destroying theself!

Go figure that one out. ****. :good

Keep taking the medication Craney, how you ever won the race for conception is truly beyond me!

Thanks for sticking up for all the people paying for this PPV though, where would the public be without your protection!
