I can't wait for Saturday night its massive and one of the most exciting fights out there but where does it stand compared to the excitment and anticipation that there was when Hatton fought Mayweather, Lewis fought Tyson, Haye fought Wlad etc. Is it on a par with those sort of fights for hype and anticipation?

Nowhere near those fights , that's partly due to having already seen Kessler/Froch square off before.

It's not near them in my opinion, doesn't feel as big either. Calzaghe vs. Kessler was a bigger fight for many reasons, for example.

    Lol

You buying into the hype to much. Doesn't even compare to calzaghe v jones and that was hardly mouth watering. Honestly I was more hyped for groves v degale then I am for this fight saturday. Surely bute v froch was bigger then this as well considering the reputation bute had before the fight and the fact bute was the favourite.

Has to be the most wrongly hyped fight in british history. 'Fight of the century' - **** off.

It's a different type of hype with this fight because we've seen it before. With other fights, you're questioning both boxers, talking about their strengths and weaknesses and trying to imagine how the fight will unfold. Froch/Kessler is different because we pretty much know what will happen already. We know they'll both come to fight, get hit lots and it'll be a long, drawn out, hard fight with both men getting hurt. It doesn't have the same hype a fight like Wlad/Haye had but it's exciting because it promises to be a great fight.

If it's a FOTY candidate, I wouldn't be shocked at all. It doesn't have the same intrigue as a fight like Froch/Bute but it's a different type of hype. You are guaranteed a very good fight.

Higher than Wlad-Haye for me, although obviously not for the casuals, and not even on the same planet as Hatton - May and Lewis - Tyson
