That doesn't get him a pass. Saying you'll kill another man is exactly why the ban boxing brigade chase the sport.

That's it, I'm rooting for the Dane!

I like Froch, respect his level of opposition, and he's talked well within his rights these past few years. But Kessler is a fave of mine too, and a sorted guy to boot.

    These comments seal the deal.

    WAR KESSLER!

Froch being a knob again, nothing new here he just isn't that likeable or charismatic.

I have a lot of respect for all the tough fights he's been in but Froch has always been the same, from when he made his debut on BBC, through constantly calling out Calzaghe & up to the present day.

Froch needs to grow up. This coming just weeks after a British boxer dies after injuries sustained in the ring. Great ambassador for boxing. Imbecile.

The comment is indeed unnecessary .. but in fairness to Froch he is in full fight mode now and is probably just very anxious and there is a lot of nervous energy coursing through his veins on the eve of a very big fight for him.

He just does not have the same personality at Kessler who is probably a much calmer individual.

Froch needs to calm down a touch, but this fight is huge for him and losing would be a disaster for his ego :)

Calzaghe would probably throw in the odd dig as well if he lost again to Kessler :yep

    Frochs comments are distasteful!
British Board should fine him 90% of his purse!

    Carl's words ar unacceptable.
    The Board has to act.
If it is merely to hype up the sales, his statement is ill advised and disrespectful. He has behaved well for his entire career. So why this?
Boxing is done a disservice and its knockers are given ammunition.
Gerald McClellan said something similar before the Benn fight in 1995, and look what happened.

I know Froch's trying to be all menacing there, but, I can't help but chuckle at him. It's so forced and awkward, that you can't really take him seriously.

I'm guessing that PPV sales are doing shite and he's trying to get a bit more interest. Just read his latest quotes:lol::patsch

From a purely pragmatic perspective, let's hope Froch is not getting too edgy and draining himself emotionally by peaking too soon mentally. He needs to be feeling like this on the night, not three days before. Let's hope he won't be feeling flat on the night...

I think Froch is trying to recreate the kind of mental form he had for the Bute fight. Let's hope he is not psyching himself up too much though, given that he is already pretty edgy, as McCracken has said.

What he said was shocking, rather uncharacteristic and unexpected, given the way he himself has often talkes about a gentlemanly, friendly relationship between him and Kessler, and given that is was completely unprovoked, and he'd have been better off not saying it.

Kalle was just about foaming at the mouth and dying to say something like McCracken was trying to get under Kessler's skin yesterday
