Don't think hearns done groves any favours He has picked an opponent who is ranked but is classed as a bum by nearly everyone Gonzalez has power himself and other than a blast out by Adonis Stevenson doesn't look to bad His standard of opposition ain't bad I'm going to go against most opinions and say George wins a frustrating nights work on points Anybody agree or is he just a can
Saw abit of him on internet the other day and he doesnt look that bad of a fighter, if he backs him up and throws rights hands over the top for a couple of rounds then even if groves stops him in 6 then it will have been a worthwile exercise.
Yeah groves needs testing Anderson, degale and sierra have and he passed But 3 fights now have passed without any progress in the ring, probably only in training I think best opponent since sierra, glen Johnson acting as a heavy bag doesn't count
I've been frustrated by Groves lately. He should be looking at fringe contenders to continue his development. I don't think he is ready for World Level just yet simply because he hasn't had any meaningful fights since Degale.
Fair comment My point was its a high risk low reward fight against what seems to be a capable opponent who is a massive underdog
Was thinking earlier about Hearn talking about how all his fighters were begging him to be on this bill What happened then I hope if this ppv is a success he puts boxing fans thoughts first next time and produced an undercard that his stable is now capable off What really pisses me off is ppv was only introduced for exceptional circumstances, but now it's considered fair game for any high level fight
Undercard is poor but as I saw on twitter from the boxing monthly guy the main event makes a welcome change from the old ppvs of the recent past of star versus nobody.
