Firstly I hate these waste of space threads but I cannot find answer anywhere. Is the Froch/Kessler PPV available in HD on Virgin Media? I purchased it and it gives me no indication that it will be in HD. I have previously ordered fight cards through the Live Events channel and unfortunately they came through in SD but I believe that was with CrimetimePPV. Can anyone shed any light on this please? I have obviously contacted Virgin multiple times and searched internet to no avail. when I reselect on the PPV purchase it just tells me that i have purchased the event and the viewing starts at 19:45. I already understand that we wont be able to record but if I have to watch in SD(like a peasant :bart) I may cry uncontrollably. :crybby
I'm pretty sure all virgin PPVs are in SD. Ive ordered WWE and boxing events thru it and im sure it doesnt give any HD option
That is actually pretty gutting and I will be cancelling the PPV if thjat is the case. Not paying the same price for SD as others do for HD. That is total bull**** I thought that was just because Crimetime were crooks. Now i have to go out to watch the fecking boxing oh what a pain! thanks for the info anyway mate.
got the same problem here mate and I agree it's a pain but c'mon, you don't have to go out and watch it now. SD won't make your eyes bleed :rofl
Being that not every channel is in HD it is obvious that I already have the knowledge that watching it will not "make my eyes bleed", however to pay £15 for a SD broadcast when the value of HD broadcast is £15 simply makes no sense. Why be a sheep? I have already purchased the event but will call tomorrow to get a refund and watch elsewhere on Sat night.
to think everything used to be in SD! Dont know why we bothered watching anything back then, you can hardly make out whats going on in SD
anyone know if sky BO or virgin put the price up/down on the fight day? its first time im ordering ppv on sky
It will cost a fiver more for sky customers if they order by phone on the day, through remote its still 15. .
