Trinidad's had more power. It was more of a one-shot-kill weapon.

DLH's was a faster, more versatile punch he could throw from different angles, lead, counter, start or finish a combination, or load up on as a single shot.

Pretty close call imo. Depends on what you'd rather have in a fighter: brute force or multiple options.

I know Mayorga was shot in that fight idiot. I just want to bring up as many examples of a landed left hook to compare with Titos.

DLH had the better hook but Tito had power in both hands, at least until he had to change the wraps.

Those hooks against Mayo don't really count, considering Mayorga dropped his hands, stuck his chin out and allowed Tito to hit him. The fact he's still alive to talk about it is what's amazing about that little sequence.

Trinidad's hook ruined chins and careers. I'll say more than "A COUPLE".

Not to mention Tito was a legit righty where as Dela Hoya if im not mistaken is lefty fighting orthodox. Oscar should have had an advatage in power but there was no question Tito was the one making 9.6 earthquakes in peoples jaws

Oscar broke Mayorgas chin. Lets get this straight. Mayorga gave tito 2 FREE left hooks and tito couldn't drop him, finally was able to slowly break him down and get him out later in the fight. Oscar comes out and blasts him inside 90 seconds, and finishes him off faster than tito.
Oscar also finished vargas off faster, the much bigger, stronger vargas who was alot more ring savy and not the punk kid Tito got. Tito didn't break vargas at all, he made him a smarter fighter. Vargas just doesn't have the chin like Oscar or Mosley and when tested, sometimes goes down.

When oscar opened up and really explodes, that left hook was unbeatable.

7:47. best left hook I've seen

I remember as a lightweight alot of experts including Foreman, Jones, Merchant etc all said Oscar hit like a heavyweight with his left hook. I dont remember them saying that about tito at all.

Oscar's left hook was better imo because

    1. He ended fights with it.
    2. He could throw it from angles where he minimized risk.
    3. It was much more unpredictable.
    4. He didn't need to load his gloves to add power.
