Froch-Kessler IBHOF worthy

Froch should be in on his record as Boxalot said.

Just because Naz isn't in, and he should be, doesn't mean that Froch should.

 

Jean Pascal - Unbeaten, had no major wins at Super Middleweight but went on to be a world champion at 175.

Jermain Taylor - Brilliant Middleweight, but not a Super Middleweight. Had Froch on the floor and was winning on points until Froch knocked him out with 14 seconds left.

Andre Dirrell - Had a case for taking the decision against Froch, but only has 1 world level win against Abraham.

Mikkel Kessler I - Lost.

Arthur Abraham - Arguably the best performance of Froch's career. Was a world class Middleweight but at 168 he wasn't big enough to be able to make a major impact. Has wins over Taylor and Stieglitz who is fairly average IMO.

Glen Johnson - Had been a top class fighter but was 42 years old and hadn't won a world title fight in 6 1/2 years.

Andre Ward - Lost.

Lucian Bute - Only unbeaten through the help of the referee against Andrade and was largely untested, but he was a big punching, unbeaten southpaw.

Yusaf Mack - A Light Heavyweight that has lost every major fight he has been involved in inside the distance.

Mikkel Kessler II - ?

While Froch has fought fighters outside their best weight division, he has some top quality wins, including a few on the road, but has lost to the best 2 fighters he has faced, if he beats Kessler then there can be no argument, if he loses then he won't be first ballot but may make it in later years.

 

You could do this to every fighters record. Outside of DeLaHoya, Pacquiao & Mayweather you can't name a fighter that faced 8 fighters in a row as good as Froch in the last 20 years.

 

Probably neither of them, but Kessler is more likely.

Both probably should go in IMO, but probably wont. Abraham and Taylor weren't as great a scalp in hindsight, Kessler and Ward beat him.
