People Want Floyd Vs Canelo.... But Canelo vs Chavez Jr Is A Size Mismatch....

Asking Floyd to fight at a weight class he is a champion at and said he wanted to defend his title their against another champion at that weight class is not asking or expecting to much. There have been much drastic things done in boxing then 2 154lb champions fighting in a 154lb fight.

 

Chavez jr isn't even that good, hasn't shown any dedication to boxing,, and isn't a belt holder currently. I don't see high standards asking for that fight.

Again, who the hell has said Canelo is to small. He is 22 years old and the recognized champ at 154lbs. The best boxer today and the self proclaimed best ever holds a belt at 154lbs. People are asking for the fight because it makes sense right now. Now, *****s try to change the subject and make a thread claiming people are saying Canelo is to small for Chavez Jr when that hasn't been brought up simply because their is a much more compelling fight to be made at 154lbs.

 

I don't see how one has to do with the other. Canelo can fight Mayweather and Chavez jr. Y are you acting like Canelo only has one fight left in his career. And no I'm not saying Canelo needs to fight Chavez jr his next fight before Mayweather.

I haven't made an excuse to Y Mayweather shouldn't fight Canelo. You have made an excuse regarding Canelo facing Chavez though.

 

Please quote me where I said Canelo shound't fight Chavez Jr. I said it would be a good fight. Canelo doesn't have much time left at 154lbs, is 22 years old, and is with GBPs. Floyd only has a few fights left, nobody at WW worth mentioning, and Canelo is the best option. Why not make the fight now when it is so easy and their to be made. You saying it was a good fight was after I called you out on it. You basically had no choice or you would have looked like a hypocrite. I've already said my piece that Mayweather should be looking to fight Canelo at 154 to get his title and unify 154, then unify 147. I never once complained about the weight or stated that Canelo needs to come down in weight.

Again nobody is saying that Canelo needs to fight Chavez jr his next fight. But excuses were quickly made and Chavez isn't even the best MW out there.

 

Chavez Jr vs Canelo has been around for a while and now that they are both popular by more fans other than in Mexico, it has become more intersting. The only problem I see with this fight is Top Rank (Chavez Jr) and Golden Boy (Canelo). Plus you will also have to deal with Showtime and HBO on the U.S. and Televisa (Canelo) and TV Azteca (Chavez Jr) on Mexico, as they own their rights. In other words, this fight seems impossible to make but you never know. Canelo and Chavez Jr seem to have the balls and the push to tell their promoters whom they want to fight, not the other way around (Chavez wanted Martinez and Arum didn't) (Canelo wanted Trout and GBP didn't)


Saying that, Floyd vs Canelo is easier to make since they both have a belt at 154lbs, same promoter and fight on the same network. But we all know that VOID will always be VOID!

 

Canelo is not and has never been a champion at 160.

Mayweather is a 2 time Jr.MW champion.

Nuff said.

Canelo isnt skilled enough to fight at middleweight.

Once he outgrows JMW he's in trouble. Given hes already 172 on fight night that day is soon

 

He just outboxed the bigger Trout. Outslicked him, landed the bigger punches, and showed better defense than Trout.

Canelo is way young, he'll be at 154 for at least 2 more years, maybe more, he still has time to sharpen his skills.

As of now, he is the Jr.MW champion, and Mayweather is 2nd place to him. Mayweather needs to stop ducking him if he wants to go down as the best 154 fighter of this era. :deal

 

He barely beat Trout, most of the media had it near even, and Trout is in no way massive.

A year at best before hes weight drained and has to move up.
