Anyone else think that, despite his embarassing quit job vs Bradley the first time around, Alexander stands a good chance in a rematch vs Bradley at 147? He seems better suited to the weight than Bradley and seems to have improved whereas Bradley stayed stagnant. Will Bradleys will and heart be enough to crush the better skillset of Alexander again? Or will an improved Alexander at a better weight be able to outbox Bradley and keep him off him.:think:think I think it's a much closer fight, not sure who wins.
I still favor Bradley and the only reason I could see him losing would be because he's too damaged from the Provodnikov fight. Alexander's welterweight resume doesn't impress me at all, so I would have to see him perform against a true threat to really buy into the notion of his being much improved.
^ I feel ya on that. I just think overall since the move up he's looked more poised and disciplined despite the less than stellar opposition. He totally clowned Maidana. I picked Alexander in the poll but starting to think that Bradley would still grind it out down the stretch, too much heart. I don't think Bradley will ever be the same dude he was though so I wouldn't be shocked by an Alexander decision.
Bradley's workrate is just too much for Alexander, he will throw combos and doesnt care where hes hitting you, Alexander would do better than the first fight but Bradley's aggression will win it for him Alexander does look alot better at 147 though but his head movement is still dodgy, Purdy hit him quite a few times with ease
Alexander has grown and learned a lot since the first fight. I'm a fan of Timmy's but I worry his last fight has taken something from him. It usually works out like that. I think Alexander would win a tight battle on the cards in a rematch.
I agree, I do think Alexander looks better the Timmy right now . . . Timmy has a proven heart but Alexander looks pretty damn good at 147 and would probably win a close decision right now
Like a lot of people I had Devon up at the time of the hail mary headbut from bradley! Devon probably stops him now in 3! Too talented! Arum won't be able to save him this time!
Bradley always had the better skillset. He probably does better but I still favor Bradley. Sharper with his shots, better timing, more explosive offensive footwork. Alexander would struggle to time him.
