Boxing is savage. A gentleman's sport it is not.

In Denmark it's 500 DKK for a PPV, compared to the US & UK where it's only like around 150-200 DKK, from what i've calculated.

Well I've paid for it, and I'm going to watch it live on television.

So I really don't give a **** about the sales.

    That's not an appropriate response.

Gentle men do not hit people in the face. Therefor, it's not a gentleman's sport. What's wrong with you?

None of these antics ever happen when 2 white fighters face off.
    Now, on the other hand................

Both guys are respectable, especially Kessler.

Froch has tendencies to let the occasion go to his mouth, bit of arrogance, always has, but at least he's been able to back it up, unlike other British boxers that speak in the third person.
He knows he possibly crossed the line with that statement. And Kessler knows him well enough not to read too much into it.

    Not a big deal.

They called it that because so many upper class men used to take part back in the 1800's and early 1900's.

We're talking about today. It is not a sport for Gentleman. Like I said, gentlemen do not hit people in the face! It's a savage sport. People trying to hurt each other. Hand shaking etc, it's fine if they want to do it, but at the end of the day they're still trying to take each other's head off on fight night.

Being able to punch/get punched by a guy for 36 minutes and then respect the other guy after that, I'd say it takes a gentleman to do so.

It's a gentleman's sport but it's also a fight. Therefore you have to allow a bit of a leeway for the bad boys. Controversy sells. Heated passion makes the event exciting. As long as someone doesn't cross the line, a little roughhousing or pushing the envelope can be entertaining.

Pushing or shoving or controlled use of tactics to intimidate an opponent during a weigh-in: acceptable.

Extended brawl(s) which involve weapons and complete chaos: not acceptable.

:lol:Right? He doesn't know what he's saying, he''s just taking
his queue from the other posters who favor the brit.
I, for one, can think for myself and will NOT back off my
    Kessler win prediction.
