So any rumours on how Kessler's sparring with Groves and Cleverly went!?

Sparring isn't two guys getting in the ring and play fighting. It's a chance to work on different aspects on the game. Against Groves, Kessler was probably told to work off the back foot and invite the pressure so he can practice his defence as George doesnt have the physicality to hurt Kessler, in George's little mind, he could perceive it as "doing a number on Mikkel" when in reality Kessler probably had no interest in beating up George and just wanted some defensive practice whilst knowing Groves would be fired up. That's ideal sparring.

Cleverly is much bigger than Kessler, and Clev seems like the dîckhead who would put 100% in just so he could say "I got the better of Kessler"

Fight night, against your opponent is a million worlds away from sparring.

Other than to get your fitness up I struggle to see how sparring Cleverly would be good preparation for Froch, they are nothing alike.

In fairness though that would've been the most excited Clev has been in 18 months

That's my thought as well. Kessler is well past prime IMO and I expect Froch to stop him.

  10. been watching kesslers last 3 fights and he aint the same Kessler from calzaghe fight that's for sure

Green had him in all sorts of trouble , and was out jabbing him with ease. If green had a brain he could have stopped mikel after dropping him but for some reason he took it easy

Very well said, he's in there to work on his game, not beat seven shades out of young up and comers.

    This.

Young hungry fighters like Cleverley and Groves are perfect sparring to simulate the kind of pressure that Froch will bring in especially in the first half of the fight so i'm sure Kessler worked more on his defence against then rather then go all out and make it into the war which wouldn't have done him any good.

Everybody he has fought he has stopped! People are ignoring his crucial statistic.

Green is a BIG puncher and really a 175 pound. Kessler was down but got up, and ended the fight in accurate powerful fashion. I don't think that fight is a negative, it is a plus. Carl Froch was out boxed by Ward and technically did not look on his level. Even though Kessler was stopped on cuts during the Ward fight, technically they did not look level's apart. Ward was just slightly better at, what Kessler was trying to do! Froch..? Did not even know, what Ward was trying to do!

I think Kessler has got this fight, actions speak louder than words. I see no signs of lack of confidence in Kessler, people are underestimating how good Kessler is! Remember Calzaghe has stated that Kessler and Eubank are his toughest fights!

I will say this! and i am the only person around here saying it..??? If Carl Froch wins! Joe Calzaghe is COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT!!
