Andre Ward is talking nonsense. He's desperate for a fight. He's got nowhere to go. Someone needs to remind him I'm the IBF and WBA champion and he's not got a belt," Froch told Sky Sports.

"Andre Ward should come to the UK. I've boxed Andre Ward in America. He should come to the UK and fight me, it's as simple as that. Why do I need to travel? Why do I need to go to America to become a star?

"But as the champion, I'm holding two belts at the minute. Andre Ward needs me more than I need him. I'd like to fight him as I'd like to be given the opportunity to avenge a defeat, but I've got other options. Andre Ward's got no options.

"He's living in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks I'm going to fly out to California and fight him in his home town or anywhere in America for that matter and let him think he's holding all the cards and calling the shots.

    Gotta love Froch

No, but he is the universally recognized champion in the division and does hold a one-sided schooling over Mr Froch. And all this nonsense about not having any options. :dead Plenty of fights at 175 and he runs through that division too.

He has no good pay days ahead unless he fights Froch or moves to HW.
In short he is a boring ****ish ****.

he already beat Dawson, Hopkins wont fight him so that leaves Cleverly or Pascal or Shumenov. It doesn't seem like he wants to move up though otherwise I think he would of done it.

    Like who?
Who is Ward going to fight for anywhere near the type of money he would get for a rematch with Froch?

So move up then? Froch isn't bothered, he doesn't need Ward. He'll make more money fighting George Groves than Ward can for any fight outside of Froch himself.

Well who's Froch got except Ward? Kessler's been done to death and is only going to further deteriorate, Hopkins would be intriguing for me, but not one for the fans in general. Groves and Degale aren't ready. Who?

It'll be Groves next and it'll sell we'll on PPV over here. Froch will sell out the 02 or the city ground next against him aswell. Big money there for both guys, and it'll look good for Froch in a few years when Groves is picking up world titles.

    Makes perfect sense.

Funny how Ward has only had one fight since Froch

Froch has had 3, winning 2 belts in the process.

No wonder Ward is losing fans...

It's too soon and Eddie's not stupid, there's more legs in that particular promotion if he waits. He'll have Groves pick up a strap, maybe Stieglitz's first, then sell it as an all British unification. In the meantime Froch does what? If He fights and loses to Ward again, there's always Groves to fall back on.

He could fight his IBF mandatory to keep the belt for a unification fight with Groves. I think it's Oosthuizen who is an unbeaten, respectable opponent. Whoever he fights, he'll sell out over here.

Ward couldn't sell any tickets fighting Chad Dawson. Ward has done nothing since the super 6 apart from fight a corpse whereas Froch has destroyed the guy Ward seemingly didn't want to fight, Yusaf Mack and now he's beaten Kessler in a FOTY candidate on PPV. Ward might be the better fighter, but he has nothing over Froch at the negotiating table. Froch simply doesn't need him. He likes being in exciting fights and gives the fans what he wants to see. He isn't going over to the states to be head butted, clinched and embarrassed and he's earnt the right to do whatever the **** he wants.
