Terrific statement solarcycles, How much does Ward actually care about legacy and big money? He seems to be content in his comfort zone, probably planning to bring someone like Tarver down to 168 as we speak for the gullable American fans to lap up.

Froch is clearly the cash-cow and Groves will be his successor. Groves need another couple of learning fights before he fights Froch and then 18 months from now Froch v Groves sells 40,000 tickets and does huge PPV numbers earning massive money for both fighters.

Froch v Cleverly is the interesting one for me, according to frankw4arren, cleverly was smashing Kessler around in sparring and froch v cleverly has the potential to be fight of the year. These are both mega-money fights for Froch, like you say, Ward could end up being frozen out of the big money completely just because he hasn't the ballbag to travel to England.

 

One more post on this thread and I will be contacting the Team Elite solicitors to take severe legal action, we do not debate with posters who live off a 75 vcash welfare handout from esb chiefs :fire:-nono

You think there is no way of the fight being any different General? Didn't 2 of the judges score the first fight 115-113, that's just 7 rounds to 5. I think Ward won that fight but I think the fanboys who say it was a schooling are off the mark, Ward was tiring those last 3 rounds and Froch's whole approach to boxing seems to have changed because of that fight imo. Froch now is starting fights at full whack because he knows that he has the stamina to still see out 12 hard rounds, he has definitely improved since that fight with how he starts fights.

Then theres the huge English crowd to energise froch, that crowd that so many foreign opponents find so hard to overcome like McClellan v benn, tyszu v hatton, like Kessler lastnight. I don't think its beyond belief that a fight in England between Froch and Ward could have a one single round swing to 6 rounds each and then you have 3 judges to score that fight who will be influenced badly by the crowd noise difference when each fighter lands.

 

Its always terrific to receive praise from fellow highly intelligent comrades on ESB, what a phenominal morning this has been, not just for Carl Froch and Team Elite, but for ESB and boxing in general :deal
