The fight was good in a rockem sockem robots kind of way, or 2 drunks fighting outside a pub. Reminded me of Marquez vs Pac minus the skills of course. Anyway.... I can't understand how this guy gets away with throwing an up jab from the hip constantly with out be killed in the ring - he throws 1 kind of jab all night - Same speed, never faints - resets the jab slow as **** - resests the jab back to the hip - Counters wide off the jab - Telegraphs the right hand off the jab But yet still doesn't get countered as much as he should be. I don't know if to be impressed with him or disappointed in this era of super middles
Good jab from a good fighter. The Tito that fought Roy Jones Jr. would have beat Froch last night though.
his jab was good against kessler and is the main reason he won the fight as he got them early rounds in the bank
That fukin china chin tito would have been ktfo cold you arrogant pr *******. Tito was knocked out by bernard fukin hopkins. He was chinny on higher weights. There was thread some time ago about tito vs golovkin. My god titos chin would have been cracked in the most brutal and vicious way boxing has ever seen.
Froch's jab is effective BECAUSE of that up motion from the hip. Its harder to see those kind of punches. Only Ward has the speed and reflexes to get around it so far.
It's the way he extends his reach, that does it for him. Otherwise it's average - as evident by Kessler ad******g to it after the 3rd round and taking it out of the game. And Ward did it within the 1st. And someone like B-Hop would love it. He'd time it with his right all night and cut down his jab numbers by at least 25%. Robo Kessler has limited head movement and goes forward/back in straight lines, and so all you really need is an average jab to tame him.
You obviously weren't around for Foreman's Indian Summer. Another thread that proves my point that the vast majority of "hate" some Ward fans are bitching about is towards Froch. Michael Katsidis never had a jab,Ricky Hatton had a good one and forgot he had it. He does reset at the hip and there are things in your post that suggest to me you know what you're talking about. But he used his jab better against Abraham and I think you're overcooking your point a bit.
