What fighter who hasn't won a fight since 2010 do you consider a contender?

I can't get over how many people think this inactive fighter deserves a title shot -- like if you get dominated by one Klitschko you're supposed to automatically get a shot at the other one without actually stepping in the ring, beating contenders and earning another shot.

He's had one fight in basically two years (it will be 2 years or more since the Klit fight by the time he steps back in the ring after his current alleged 'injury') ... that's only one more fight than me, and I'm not even a professional boxer.

So what other completley inactive guys who have gone 1-1 since 2010 also deserve title shots?

Yes because Pianeta, Wach, Charr etc were far more deserving than Haye....

In answer to your question, Bradley is 1-1 at WW and he is fighting P4P top 3 Marquez next. Bhop was a loss and NC coming in vs Cloud, did he not deserve that shot?

Except he beat Chisora last year. Easy to forget I know. No build up, no press coverage, no controversy. Definitely no glassing. And nobody got hit with a tripod either.

Considering Haye lost to Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011 then beat Derek Chisora in July 2012... WTF is this thread about??

Bradley isn't 1 - 1 at Welterweight, he's unbeaten and has had three fights at Welter (Abregu, Pacquiao and Provodkinov) and is the reigning WBO World Champion so of course he deserves to be in the ring with Juan Manuel Marquez.

    Reality check:

    He won in 2010.

He lost to Wlad -- and didn't exactly distinguish himself with a play-it-safe approach and an excuse afterward.

He had ONE fight since. It will be ONE FIGHT and ONE FIGHT ONLY in a period of two years.

He pulled out of his most recent fight claiming injury.

I don't think he is a contender at this point. Not only he, you know, actually fights.

It's a simple question: who else that has had only one fight in going on two years do you consider a contender and worthy of a title shot? Anyone?

He is verging on Andre Dirrell levels of highly rated vs low activity.
