The best fighters from around the world mostly fight in America, whether they be from Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico etc, and so the quality of the fights themselves are gonna be better in the states and that's obviously the most important factor to judge how great a show is. As for presentation America and Germany rule. I'm talking about the lighting, the way the ring looks, the entrances etc. Just have a look at this entrance to see what I mean. It's spectacular. The lighting, the ring, the pyrotechnics display, the confetti falling after Froch won. Boxing in Britain needs more of that. Not phone numbers plastered across every ****ing inch of the ring and lighting that makes it look like a glorified leisure center. Yes you need to advertise but make it easier on the eyes for ****'s sake. Last night was very well done and you can't always say that's the case for big fights in the UK. I thought Haye vs Chisora looked tacky as ****. Punditry? HBO and showtime kill Sky and boxnation who are both terrible. Atmosphere? The British fans are very loud and it does make for a great atmosphere but this is spoilt by crowd trouble-fights breaking out, pissed up dickheads and idiots throwing their beer at opposition fans sat below.

America is where you have to go to be anybody in boxing And I have no problem with that it is the ultimate test to become either a great fighter or attraction in their market America reminds me of the premiership or la liga where the best come to ply their trade irrespective of nationality It is a good advert for the US when they support fighters passionately based just on their ring exploits So yes America is the place to be and produces the best shows and cards But for a one off event I believe the Brits can be proud of our noisy passionate crowds who show huge love and respect to the fighters I just wish we could attract the butes and kesslers more regularly and In most cases we only attract the names now once our fighter has been successfull overseas with a few exceptions
