These is not for those that are going to slag every negative aspect about his performance or try and pick at the hitting when Krisjantsen was down, or a supposed bad count.

I thought it was a very assured performance, he got it tacticly wrong at first, and managed to have a plan b which worked perfectly. He stopped a guy who had never been stopped before. He is lightyears ahead of any other british prospect.

Oh and for anyone that says he is to open to the over the top right hand, so are 50% of fighters.

Krisjantsen looked a more decent test than he had been clocked as on here beforehand, set Khan some problems that he had to deal with, which he did decently.

Ye khan did well, you could see he was looking for the knockout all along, he got many hits on kristjan but it just wasn't enough.

My only complaint is khan got hit back a few times, it didnt phase him though which is good... i guess the higher the quality of opponent - the more likely your going to get hit.

Was annoying when warren said that he likes to see khan fight another one before a title shot, i dont think warren was that impressed with khans performance.

I just wanna see khan fight for the title asap, and get all this drama/hype alegations over with.

Nice post and true many are open to straight rights.

Other than that he had no problem beating the guy at all.

Shame that anyone Khan fights will be discredited afterwaards though as not a challenge as this guy drew and lost a decision to Stefano Zoff.

I agree with Frank but I think he's being pressured Into rushing Khan by Khan and his advisors and plus maybe because of the hype around Khan and the stuff they have both said.

in keeping with the thread title, i did think khan did well and was comfortable throughout the fight.

but putting aside the hype for a second, and the beating records stuff, i agree with warren that he needs at least one more fight before a title fight. as long as that fight is against someone who can offer a little more aggressive resistance- khan needs a fight like this before he takes on someone truly world class.

I think it was a solid perforamce, certainly nothing to get too excited about I still thinks the likes of a Casamayor are miles off.

He boxed well, through his trademark fast hands and stopped a guy who had never been stopped. He did head hunt a bit too much and lot of his shots were blocked, he overwhelmed the Dane rather than hurt him. Id like to see more body work from Khan.

The problem i have is, was Khan tested? i dont think so, he was in control the whole fight pretty much. I want to see him fight a decent fighter who I know is good, he has the beating of Thaxton now, i think Warren realises that and we will def get to see Thaxton - Khan in the future.

Id pick Romanov to beat him though.

Thaxton - Khan would be pointless. I'd rather see him take a step up than a step back to fight someone on the basis that he happens to be British.

krisjansten was below european level nothing on his record gave you any insentive that he had a chance.
he did well though. he gave khan problems by not being aggresive and landing counter jabs...which khan wasnt expecting.
thing is khan hasnt been pitted in with anyone close to having a chance winning against him. limond and earl where the only ones who had a real betting odd.

but apart from that i feel it's a frank warren thing this so im not blaming khan.

he did very well against a cautious and defencive fighter who was trying to nick the rounds by hitting & not being hit ,he also knew how to use his jab well did krisjantsen.

so i cant knock him on that.

thaxton is a step up. it isnt becuase he is british it's becuase he has a good chance of winning also could be a great fight.

you have a young fast handed fighter with good standard boxing skills.
and the older tough switch hitting powerpuncher.

that is a mix i want to find out how amir finds it

Thaxton has no chance of winning i don't know why people still think he would be any kind of test. The only fight i want to see before a world tit;e is romanov.

I think khan beats casamayor. But if i was frank warren i would make a fight with Katsidis. Katsidis would be up for it considering he just lost if he beat khan he could get another world title shot. Thats the perfect fight for khan. Some1 who will give him a fight

Thaxton's hardly a 'powerpuncher'. His ko percentage is marginally better than Graham Earl's, though Earl's overall record is more impressive. He's probably past his best now. Khan already fought Earl, he doesn't need to fight someone else on that level. St Clair was a step up, now he should step up again.

If Thaxton was Dutch absolutely nobody would be touting him as an opponent for Khan.

i dont understand why people go on about Thaxtons power, if Khan was to fight him he would be ripped on here for beating a past it thaxton but if he dont fight him he will get roasting for being scared of puncher
