These "face-first idiots" at or near the elite level would make the most stylish and decorated amateurs look like Cleveland Williams against Ali.

It takes a lot of skill to be able to come forward, roll with shots, position your body on the inside to your advantage, and have the awareness to pick your shots while doing so.

Tired of ****ing casuals worshiping slick styles and pretending to appreciate skills when they're eager to **** on tough-willed aggressors, and are in reality fans of style over substance.

There's a reason Mathysse beat Peterson. There's a reason Maidana beat Cayo. There's a reason Frazier beat Ali. There's a reason Castillo troubled Mayweather. Skill means more than just being an outside boxer with speed.

 

I'm saying defensively, even the crudest pro, like Rios, put against someone at a lower level with a "slick style", and they can't even touch him. There was a video a while back of Rios fighting purely defensively, shoulder rolling, parrying shots, against a well-schooled Amateur, and it wasn't close.

Respect the skills these men carry in the ring with them, even if they manifest themselves differently. Just because you don't like the way it looks doesn't mean it isn't really impressive.
