Really ? So name all these fights where Pavlik was dropped and hurt ? Mckart hit him behind the ear when Pavlik was trying to lean away from the punch, he was off balance and went over, nobody considers that a legit KD. Zuniga hit him flush on the jaw with a perfect left hook, Pavlik went down, and got straight up. I'm pretty sure Zuniga won all his fights except 2 or 3 by KO, so i'd guess he's pretty heavy handed. Taylor had Pavlik dancing all over ***** street before dropping him, he then had him dancing the same dance later in the round.I've seen fights stopped for less. To discredit Froch you need facts, you have no facts only your opinion. Froch is universally recognised as having a granite chin. I guess the experts know nothing and we should all listen to your opinion about his chin ?
Kessler has an iron jaw, it has deteriorated but he kept up by having a massive heart to add. True warrior.
What's wrong with being dropped by Taylor? Pavlik was dropped by him as well, and a hell of a lot worse.
I kept thinking during the fight that Kessler could hurt Froch with singe right hands and left hooks but never put his shots together enough to capitalize on the times when he did have Froch hurt to Froch's credit he recovers so fast and answers so fast, even in 11 he was the most hurt he ever was in the fight and got cut but after 10 or 15 seconds of danger he started firing back
I think its a bit funny that Kessler who have been accused (spelled wrong?), of being robotic, was the one adapting and showed great upperbody & head movement. But back on topic, Froch have one hell of a iron beard and so does Kessler, and both have will and recover fast. I believe that if they had hit any other SMW would have gone down and put to sleep. If they had been hit by those shots they way they hit each other (specially Kesslers power shots in the 11th). And thats what I love about them, they go war and leave it all in the ring. Btw. great to see how they sat besides each other smiling in the post interview. And Froch(to the crowd): "give a big applause to this gentleman". Just shows how much respect they have for each other.
Froch might have buckled but Kessler was getting hurt far more in that fight from what I saw. He was hesitant to stay in the pocket for too long because he was getting whacked, and got the hell outta there. Froch didn't seem to be fazed by much other then that punch in the 11th, and even then he went right back to fighting.
Kessler adapted brilliantly and had me worried with the ease that he was able to regroup and get right back in the fight. But you have to remember mate,a lot of this has nothing to do with Froch/Kessler's ability and/or jaws. Obviously it doesn't apply to everyone but it's clearly an issue of race for some.
