Groves looks to have improved a lot since their first fight, Anderson has been rather inactive, I wouldn't mind seeing it though, both promoted by Matchroom.

Yes because With Kenny's power he could cause George problems, in saying that George would be a big big favourate

nope. Groves is a level above Anderson and should be looking to face the elite of the division now.

  4. rather this than some one like magee

unless he fights a top 10 smw

Where is Kenny Anderson? Not heard a thing since he relinquished his british title for 'personal reasons' It seems to me like hes retired but just not made the announcement yet, sadly enough. Hope Im wrong though.

No, Anderson, for whatever reason has not progressed to fighting better fighters whilst Groves has beaten better fighters than Anderson - Glen Johnson, DeGale.

I'd personally be kind of interested but Anderson has to step up. What's the crack with him anyway? Is he still British Champ? He's not fought in ages

    Nope.

The window for that one has gone unless Anderson makes a couple of huge strides forward in the next year or so.

Anderson fought Groves at his worst, waving his arms around like a string puppet with his chin high in the air.... and couldn't win.

    No way.

Groves should be looking at that World title opportunity now he is so highly ranked with the organisations. And to be honest, I'm not really happy with how Matchroom are progressing him. I thought the Johnson fight was an excellent bit of matchmaking and was looking forward to the N'diaye fight as that was a decent test on paper.

But since moving to Matchroom, after fighting those 2 stiffs I was expecting a marked improvement for Saturday night but again, it was an opponent who he won't have really learnt a great deal against. Is it true he is fighting again in July before the September date? For me that's the wrong move if it is the case. The opponent won't be anything special in that time frame and at this juncture, I think it's really important he takes on solid gatekeeper types before he looks for a Stieglitz fight. I rate Stieglitz higher than most and whilst I think Groves would have a really good opportunity, there are still flaws to be ironed out which Stieglitz could capitalise on. The selection of his next few opponents is really key in Groves' progression IMO.

  9. Anderson can't jump straight back In at that level

So cant see it ever happening

Anderson would have very little chance against Groves, so I wouldn't really be interested in it. I thought Smith would have beaten Anderson when a fight between them was proposed and that's the level Anderson belongs at. He looked like **** against a shot Reid, so he's several levels below Groves, who has improved a lot since their first fight. Groves should be looking at fighting world gatekeepers whereas Anderson is just a solid, British level fighter.

Groves would batter Anderson in one sided fashion so even though I dislike him, I wouldn't be too unhappy if he got the shot.

Groves is far better now than when they 1st fought, it would be good cause they genuinely don't like each other but it would be a pretty pointless fight for Groves to take

If he was having a stay busy fight in July I wouldn't be totally against it, after that though, no. Groves needs to move to world level in September

Only in a keep busy fight to stay active, would be fine for July bill imo.

Also guaranteed to see 1 of 2 things:

A, the dour faced ****er gets his ass handed to him

B, the dour faced ****er pulls of the upset and cracks a smile

    Either would be great.
