Did it have something to do with Steward? If I remember correctly Steward didn't let Lewis fight Ruiz either because of John's ugly style.
Puh-leez. Why would the Klitschkos waste time with a talentless fraud like Ruiz? Ruiz's entire misbegotten "career" was BASED on cheating - excessive holding, and when that didn't work, faking low blows. Without the corrupting influence of Don King, he would have been lucky to win a regional title, let alone get title shot after undeserved title shot at the world level. Ruiz is journeyman with CONNECTIONS. Connections that allowed him to get title shots he did merit, and to cheat to "win" fights he wouldn't otherwise have won. He is a FRAUD, and a DISGRACE to the sport of boxing. That slug would get utterly outclassed by either Klitschko. Particularly if the rules were enforced to prevent the glorified clubfighter from cheating.
wouldn't have been ugly for long.ruiz would'nt have never made it inside and would've been chopped down within the distance.
:deal Ruiz dramatically changed his style after that, before Tua he was a swarmer. Talentless fraud? You do know he got robbed in the first Holyfield fight? He took more rounds from Holyfield than Lewis did in their second fight. And arguably Lewis lost the second fight according to some. Even giving Holyfield EVERY benefit of the doubt he lost to Ruiz 113-114. That was the Holyfield that might have beaten Lewis. Then the second Holyfield fight. [yt]26pxmUqblNo[/yt] 47:10 After that knockdown Holyfield was holding more in a single round than Wlad in 2 fights. Would a talentless hack do that? Also Ruiz beat the man Vitali had to retire from:Rahman. Would Lewis drop his belt to avoid a talentless guy?
Yet they fought a slew of even less talented frauds. Hate on Ruiz all you want, he has better wins than anything Vitali could dream of.
