Froch has nothing to lose but everything to gain by fighting Ward again

Surely if he loses though, then all the adulation he got for 'revenge' against Kessler will be overshadowed by that?
I agree though there's few fights that would attract so much global attention and no fight he'd get paid as much for, and if he wins then it's all worth it and would be arguably the best win of his career.

 

I think he definetly will fight him again at some point, just need to decide when. If I was Froch, if you could get Ward across to London for a fight you have to take it at any point, massive money fight.

If Ward not prepared to come to the UK, I'd take a couple of other big fights in the UK first, then head over to the US to fight Ward probably in his last fight and cash out if he losses.

I think Froch will make the fight at some point, he will want the chance to try and even the score, though I don't think he has any real chance of beating Ward

 

If I was Froch I would be angling for a possible fight with Chavez Jr. If he looks good in his comeback fight, that has potential to be PPV in the states and that could be a monsterous payday for him.

The Froch who faced (a faded) Kessler on Saturday was worse than the Froch who faced Ward. And Ward is probably still improving. There is little point in that rematch.

Froch should try his hand at LHW. A fight with Dawson in Nottingham would probably sell well. And Dawson should be very glad to sign on.

Froch isn't one to shy away from a challenge and this is an opportunity to cement his legacy as the greatest Super Middle weight we have ever produced.

 

It is probably the only fight at 168 which can significantly enhance his legacy.

He has nothing to prove against the rest of the top 10 at that weight.

His only other choice is to go to 175.

 

He lost easily to him. There's no point in that fight. Hopkins would be a better fight for him. He can win that one.

 

There is lots for him to lose. If he gets outclassed again people will remember that over the vast majority of his achievements imo.

He doesn't have that much to gain really. Wards not the kind of draw who guarantees his opponents a big payday, Chad Dawson got $600,000 for fighting him. Froch could get 400k pounds fighting someone easy in Nottingham. It depends how much being the "true" champion (which means something to hardcore fans but I'd bet 90% of those at the O2 Saturday couldn't care less) means to him.

I find it very hard to see him beating Ward, not to knock Froch he can beat almost anybody that's come through super middleweight but I don't think whatever game plan he can come up with will compensate for Wards speed and reflexes. It's an impossible style match for him

 

That had everything to do with Dawson having no fans and giving up every negotiating point before he even stepped in the ring.
